I mean yeah, no choice but to move on, but I must admit, akp is probably the main reason I am still into KPOP as heavily as I am.
It's just fun being able to come here and basically see everything that's going on and talk about it without having to follow a bunch of different subforums or accounts etc.
If akp goes away, my interest in KPOP will probably fade. I can't see myself entrenching too much into Reddit or Twitter KPOP communities. The discussion portion of it will go away for me, and I'll probably just listen to my faves and occasionally check in on what they're doing. Much different than me being on here just about every day lol.

I don't necessarily agree with the changes, I prefer a more peaceful experience with less toxicity, but the alternative is the depths of hell (stan twt) so this is the best option to share my kpop thoughts.
I feel like I'm eventually going to move to reddit if shit really hits the fan though, but I like forums because I can meet people from all different fandoms, and it feels like a real community at times. Both Reddit and stan twt lack that diversity and interchanging of fandoms that a forum can bring, and along with that more levelheadedness and reality (instead of a toxic echo chamber).
But some admins need to accept that forums are a dying medium, most of the younger generation of kpop are on various other social media sites, and forums have kind out of style across the board. The only exception to this is the pandemic, when people had more time on their hands than ever.
The constant changes to drive traffic isn't going to essentially make a big difference. Better to accept it, and realise that this place could be a lot more dead had it lacked a genuine community.
I also don't get the negativity towards guilds, guilds are good for retaining users as they meet more people, find a place that they can chill and discuss their bias groups with likeminded people. It's also a good place for updates, as the general forum isn't well equipped for that.
