Yup, they shouldn't even doing a summer cb at all. They can just released Up as a single for summer like many other groups do instead doing the full cb for it and released an album after that. Imagine if Bp who has explosive debut with Whistle and Boombayah suddenly cb with song like cheer up right after that which is 180° different from their debut images. Do you think people can easily accepting it even the song is good?

And yes, going to Queendom is one of the biggest mistake Wakeone have done for this group.

Are you new to Kpop? talent (specifically singing & dancing) is just one component of the quality of an idol. We won't be here talking about idol visuals, stage presence etc all day if Kpop is all about talent. I took much more than just talent to be an idol.

Gp999's Japanese trainees skills alone much more better than the J-trainees in pd48 because most of them actually received a proper training from their company. The J-trainees in pd48 in the other hand coming from idol groups in Japan that didn't care about their idols' skills other than variety skills. The Chinese trainees in Gp999 is really skillful and having that star aura around them like Xiaoting. The Korean trainees is not even bad, most of them is really good too. I don't see how you can say that the quality of trainees is lower. It's the voting system and screentime didn't favor the C-trainees and J-trainees, most of them get eliminated too fast.

Just as I thought you couldn't be more childish with your reply. But whatever, I won't go down to your level.

1. I never claimed that Produce48 have more TALENTED trainee pool but better in overall QUALITY.
2. You misinterpreted my statement then continue to ramble about skills etc.
3. I explained my statement about 'quality'. Hence why I said it's a popularity contest not Olympic.
4. And the reason why I said so is that you can't really measure idol's quality simply by their talent in dancing and singing alone. The qualities which can be measured objectively like who run or swim faster just like in Olympic. The popularity decides your rankings in the competition. In the history of Mnet idols survival shows, the winners were never the one with the most talented in dancing/singing category.

This is the song and concept I wanted them to recycle.

Let's say Kep1er came back with exactly Sugar Rush or U+Me=Love. While the song and concept would receive a more positive reception, it would still be totally generic and basic. People would still see the same problem with Kep1er as right now. Bland, generic, no unique brand or sound, and not up to expectations for the GP999 group.

Exactly like Lightsum Vanilla which had nothing wrong about it, but was just underwhelming for a new cube girl group debut cause it seemed so generic and safe

It's not like Lightsum was a total failure and Sugar Rush/U+Me with Kep1er wouldn't be either, but it just wouldnt be that much better than WDD/Up! and We Fresh, is what I think

Someone mentioned how the teen crush or "cool" image is more attractive than "cute" and I kinda agree cause Weeekly also wasn't really liked that much at first

i don't think it was the concept change that made up! perform worse than wadada. they were still riding the little hype gp999 had with ifans when they released wadada. but wadada made a lot of people instantly give up on them (myself included). up was actually a better song than wadada honestly, but now the gp999 hype is gone and wakeone isn't doing much to promote the group. sk doesn't care about them either way.
