Re: How did bighit found bts members??

  • Istg they're only popular because of their members, it was pure luck. When I look at their new BGs I don't believe this is the same company who debuted bts. The whole vibe is different.

i would say that this question is honestly irrelevant becauae BTS didn’t start successfully, they worked towards it.

They had Run and Fire which put them on K-Radar and then BS&T was just like… a smash hit on its own honestly.

Most people in this thread said it was luck, but really it was hard work and consistently putting in effort year after year

  • I don't understand this, how the Bts members' efforts and dedication is equal to pure luck? So, everyone that work hard to achieve their dream is just lucky and we need to praise the 'luck' but not who work for it? Do you like if people tell to your face that you're just lucky to achieve something when you know that you bust you ass to gain it for them to tell that all efforts along that way just purely because of luck not because of your hard work.

Yup, group with great chemistry and outstanding members like them is rare but it's like you belittle all their hard work and all the discography under them. They have many hit songs too, which make them the Bts people know today. Non top 4th gen bg can even bet their 2015-2016 discography where many kpop fans still considering them as nugu. Do you think small group is like big companies' group that people know who the members and automatically stan them just after seeing their visual? They already have fans just by training in big company. But with Bts they have none of that privilege so their songs what make people check on them and their personality make people stay. They do have part where luck play it's part but not just because of it they're as big as now. They work hard for that, they make themselves stand out, they have pure dedication for their works and all of these not because of luck.

  • Anyone who says BTS success is due to "good luck" either doesn't know anything about BTS story or are trolling on purpose.

the question is how did bighit find them not how bts got successful

yes, bighit finding them seven was pure luck. them 7 meeting each other was destiny.

bighit/hybe would gladly recreate their success especially now that they have money. but they can't. you can try with similar music but what makes bts special is the members themselves, their story, their bond. you cannot replicate that

Oh, yes finding those seven awesome men was amazing. It's a once in a lifetime achievement.

But I also think that all the stuff that they had to go through together is also what made their friendship grow stronger. They had it really difficult, and that makes people bonds stronger in my opinion. They have no secrets with each other, they all know what they had to do to get what they have now and they all respect each other. That's why their bond looks so genuine.

I don't know if I am explaining it well

  • I think some people are mistaking luck with probability, OP said in a "what are the odds" manner and not as if there was no hard work involved

even chemistry aside there's also "luck" about the 7 individuals agreeing to work hard towards the same goal for so much time, this is hard to find in any musical group.. this is just my observation but if you look past in the day BTS were also their own #1 fans too, they believed in the work they were doing

reminds me of a jhope comment in a interview in which he laughs about how passionate in a cringe way they were in the past but also how this is something that make their old songs go off till today

  • There won't ever be new bts because hybe cares now more about visuals than anything else. Hybe would never debut rm, j-hope, suga and perhaps jimin now. All of their idols have idol like visuals, nobody looks "different". Sadly

tbh i feel like this is a bit unfair to say? firstly, there is no second rm, jhope or suga out there, but also i don't think hybe is any more hyper focused on visuals than they were when bts debuted. jin was literally street casted for visuals, and iirc tae was also seen as a "visual" addition to the group. every subsequent hybe bg has gotten dragged for their looks at one point or another especially enhypen, and even trainee a has been dragged by knets. most txt members are not consider to be the "visual standard". neither are enhypen. i just feel like this is kind of a dig that newly debuted hybe groups aren't as talented but idk about that. the focus on making every group "real artists" and having "real rappers" might have shifted, but even in their new groups, members seem highly encouraged to participate in production. lesserafim members already had credits on their debut album.

  • Oh oops i didnt know it needed to be LINKED if i like quoted the OG post??? Thank you!!
