I-Army calling for a collective boycott on Korean goods and services
The meltdown on Twitter continues...with tweets calling for the ban on Korean goods and services until BTS returns from service garnering 100K+ likes and tens of thousands of retweets and qrts. No more Korean food, dropping learning Korean, cancelled trips to Korea.
OP
This is expected to some extent for all international fandoms, though. Not out of the ordinary. Contrary to popular belief, international stans aren't always K-boos who worship everything about Korea; many only idolize their favorites. If anything, the competitive atmosphere created by the industry makes it so that some international fans are critical of Korean entities that aren't their favorites.
It's a general tendency among some I-fans, and it's not one that pertains to any one fandom exclusively.
