Telemarketers and the people who stand on the corner begging for money when you know god damn well they ain't poor just too lazy to get a job....plus i wanna run em over when they bring their pets or their kids and involve them in this begging bullshit...'cause they know damn well people gonna drop money on them due to their kids and pets...-_- that was seen everywhere in Vegas not so much oregon. still angers me.
Yes some people are legit homeless wanting money but there was a documentary done on those people in vegas and they literally admitted to being well off and rich, wearing dirty clothes and looking poor on purpose to get money and some bring home thousands a week from doing that and at the end of the day walk to their expensive porsche and go home... like fuck you people.

Word. Especially now that there's a hiring spree, with some employers paying up to 5 dollars more than what they used to pay, there's no excuse to not be working unless you got some serious condition.

Insurers. Often it's basically legalised scamming.
When I was 19 I had my first car and had to pay over £2000 for insurance while my car was like 1500 lol. When I had an accident in my 2nd year that was not my fault and had witnesses to prove it my insurer still increased my premium because I was deemed a risk (teen, male, live in city, etc) regardless of the circumstances. I'm the victim and I'm being punished. The sad part was even WITH the bump in price it was the cheapest provider around.
I bought a monitor a few years ago from a well known electrical retailer. It came with 2 year warranty, 1 from manufacturer no questions asked and 1 from store but with restrictions. In year 2 it develops a fault (the left side was slow to shift colour) so I ask the store to fix it, the refuse because the fault isn't covered supposedly even the manufacturer has had known issues with the same problem. I had to take printouts from other customers to a store manager to show them it's a known issue so at the very least they should contact them and sort it. Eventually it worked and I got it repaired but I shouldn't had to go through the much trouble.
My friend used to work for a call centre for health insurance and he told me of shady practices that did to sell unnecessary plans or have loophole the avoided paying out (eg if you have x condition but you use medication that is more commonly used for condition y then unless you specifically say your meds are for x then you aren't getting a pay out because you potentially might have Y but never wrote it down). The customers were often old and not fully knowledgeable on their medical history so a lot didn't get a pay our or at least only got a partial pay out.

These vultures even use natural disasters as opportunities to convert the suffering.
Threats and temptations - be it using relationship, education, healthcare, money- that is their deal.

yes, i don't think it's about lack of self respect either... just being forced or coerced into situations or a lifestyle because of poverty or emotional trauma.
