But realistically, there are only 2 third Generation Girl groups selling much these days. That other group probably has 1/3rd of all the sales. So between them they probably have over 80% of all sales.

Hmm, I can't find the original tweet. When I manually added the sales for RV, I'm getting closer to 3.3mil so the math seems a bit off but I think the point they were trying to make is Twice's total album sale is higher than those 3rd gen combined or close to it

4th gen started in 2018 with Stray Kids for the boys and Gidle for the girls (i think they debuted before Loona did). IOI is definitely 3rd gen, Izone is definitely 4th gen.
We are now in 4.5 gen actually, Ive was the beginning of the 4.5 generation era which now includes Lesserafim, NMIXX, Kepler, Newbeans, and a few other nugu groups like Classy and Lapillus.
