UP! is very refreshing and public friendly song but it failed to even enter the bottom of chart...why?
they got all.. popular survival show, skills, visual, good song, and even the girls have thei own charm

Wadada was bigger than O.O internationally. Especially in Japan. It already reached 100M on Spotify.
Didn't they just sell out their fanmeeting in Japan in minutes? I think they're doing fine.

1. They don’t really have any stand out members, this is made even worse by the fact that they will always be compared to Izone where each member was so distinct.
2. Their fans are their own worst enemy constantly fighting with each other.
3. Their Queendon run really ruined any sort of reputation they had built up.

Well it’s not like STAYC last cb did well internationally and you said NMIXX has a big fanbase but so is Kepler. Sold out 2 dates In japan and they sold 700k albums.
I wonder why Up isn't doing as well as wadada in Japan.

The trainee pool already wasn't that great but to make matters worse Mnet pushed all the wrong the girls, and as usual ifans started acting like they were Simon Cowell and prioritized the "talented" trainees who didn't have the visuals or charms to build a large fanbase or public recognition, ifans also made the mistake of obsessing over Chinese trainees (idk why they always have this weird anti-korean mind set every time there is a show with mix nationals it's so annoying), lots of the good Korean trainees got booted, in part because of ifans and because of mnet stupid elimination system, and Koreans for some strange reason thought that Chaehyun McBland was a good candidate for the group and god only knows why but for #1 as well.
The group that would have actually been popular with the general public had Mnet done their jobs
Gu Yi Zhou ( had NO political scandal with China and was a visual that Mnet never pushed until the very last) on top of it she had great variety sense and was talented.
The other waste was the Japanese trainee Ikema Ruan. Koreans really liked her visual as well but like Yizhou she wasn't pushed.
Bahiyiih stans gonna be mad but Guin Myah would have been a more popular pick for the wasian. Koreans actually loved her a lot and she was popular internationally as well. Yeah, she wouldn't have had Bahiyiih's huge fanbase but in this scenario, they wouldn't even have been necessary had Mnet done the job correctly.
And of freaking course, we cannot forget Yurina. She should have been in the group with Xiaoting.
These two were the Wonyoung-Yujin that never got to be.
Yurina really has the makings of a star too
But of course, "talent" won. And now there are girls in Kep1er that no one but their fans care about.
And YES. I know I sound bitter. That's the point. 
Honorary mention of Chen Hsin Wei who could have been huge if not for her political statement with China. She had the makings to be a stand-out visual if not the visual of the group. She was freaking funny too.
Oh, and also that girl who had the amazing Aura until she for whatever reason butchered it with that haircut.

Both sell lots of albums, but nobody streams their songs.

Up! even if it's nice for me, it doesn't stand out much. With a banger like Wa Da Da for next comeback hopefully they'll smash.
