  • I though the same fr :pepe-cross:

and people saying in the qrt is the world saying to them to rest or cancel the tour I'm like ???

literally they lost their personal stuff that's really terrible and also stressfull ;(

I really feel so bad for the girls. They are such hardworking and sweet girls and I'm sure they worked their asses off for their first ever World Tour and so much shit has happened.

  • Oh i thought the venues provided the tech stuff, at least the mics

  • I hope they can get it back but also hope they rest but honestly is very hard to rest in a situation like that :pepe-comfy:

at this point, as a loona fan i'd be glad if they disbanded for the sake of their mental peace

    meanwhile the members

  • Jesus, so no-one at BBC has half a brain enough to think 'hmmm we have 11 idols on tour with a shit ton of stuff, maybe we should buy some of those apple or samsung tracking luggage tags because the amount of idol stuff and the cost to replace said idol stuff for 11 people is gonna be huge'.

Also, they are on tour and not doing direct flights??? Just further proof BBC is broke as hell.

No worries lol, I bought a new samsung phone and they were giving away those with buds for free with it. Found out this has been a thing for years (legit since 2014) and apple and samsung jumped in early last year but with the pandemic no-one was travelling.

  • Whoever got Loona's voodoo dolls, please give my girls a break. I am BEGGING! :pepe-puddle: I want just ONE DAY of peace for them. :pepe-puddle:

At this point its BBC ISTG.

Idle just had the same issue with the altitude but not one person had 2 braincells to rub together and think. They must want to keep this tour as cheap as possible to hope the members pay off their trainee debt but this is insane.

  • Canada's airport have been in news for being a fucking mess this summer

Someone should have paid attention and kept the absolute essential in carry ons

There are no direct flights from Mexico City

  • Wow. I though they finally made it back to Korea but the drama keeps going on😥

Does anyone know why BBC is looking so desperate?

Loona sell well. They have an active and devoted fandom. Chuu also have solo success. The member dont seem to have that luxury lifestyle. Shouldnt they make some profit?

Money. Plain and simple. Remember the money troubles they kept having last year? all those articles about not paying people? Loona has always been a love project, which is fine, if your from a company big enough not to have pre-debut debt or are privately funded by a rich person who is making this their passion project, but love project plus borrowing from investors to make said love project means you have to pay all that money back and Loona is doing great, but not great enough to balance the books.

They spent 9 mill USD before they even debuted then spent more on the debut and CB's. They aren't so well known in Korea to get loads of brand deals, Chuu's income only goes so far (and who knows whats going on between BBC and her), their sales are pretty good, but they are not really influenced by the 4th gen boom in sales and they have no insane charting to get them extra income.

Loona is steadily growing but the growth is still behind the ever increasing in the group debt (just basics like costumes, choreo, food, rent, transport for 12 people is huge) and BBC is now panicking because they have 2 years left (it could be 1yr and 9 months if they signed contracts before they started the pre-debut projects) before contracts are up and the girls can leave without having to pay back a penny because they did their part of the contract. And they don't know if another lockdown may hit and stop concerts like happened in 2020. They are trying to recover as much money as possible before the members escape.

  • The sad part is that depending on income distribution and allocation of debt, the members are not getting any income.

That is why Chu wants to get the F-out.

Thank you for this detailed information.

it somehow baffles me that loona, who is doing really great and much better than many other groups from small companies, is having so much trouble. They must make millions with those world tours. Many other groups without big hits earn well. Shocking how the 9mill investment and the higher costs for more members seems to make the difference. ;(

Having not pay back a penny seems ridicuoulous. they should leave with their pockets full of cash after working for years. How stupid can a company be? now losing the equipment, tens of thousands worth of cash without a tracker.

No problem, Loona is one of the groups I keep an eye on and all my fingers crossed for.

I was hoping SM would buy out the contract and that would set them right but LSM just experimented with them.

Yeah, I'd also say the earlier part of their discog is clearly way more expensive than the later part, so after the intial 9 mill they kept burning through money and didn't really seem to break even until around 2020 which just added to the debt.

Tours are the most profitable income for all singers, but not as profitable as we imagine and it also depends on the percentage the company and promoter takes a cut for, ticket price, venue costs and production costs etc, but loona only started touring this year. They had concerts. The previous ones IRL had venues of 2-3k with tickets around 100 usd. The online ones likely had thousands but like I said they have to split that. Once the bills are paid its then split according to the contract split with the company, (e.g. YG is rumoured to split 40/60 to the company/artist). Its the artist percentage that goes to paying off the debt.
