For me BTS showed the best way to live in life. Throw out your goals out there - you know when they were rookies, they said their Dreams is to perform at Jamsil stadium.. and when they get what they want they aim for higher goals.. but when they can’t achieve them (like the Grammys), they show disappointment but then move on and work harder. But after few times of disappointment, I think BTS has moved on and focusing on living their life now (no group work).

So yes I do think that by saying they want to top Hot100 will motivate the fandom. But it’s not a bad thing. It shows that when you have goals, throw it out there and work your ass off.. if you achieve it, it’s great but if you don’t, just brush off the dust and try again.

I just don’t like some western acts who tease stuffs by saying they will release something if they reach Xx streams or like.. I think that’s manipulative.

In Blackpink’s case, great that they just want to enjoy the music and life. They are like the popular kids who seems to have the good things in life effortlessly. It’s ok too.

It varies depending on the situation. For example, BTS are one of those artists who came from the bottom. Their old condition is still a big factor in their competitiveness. It is one of their strength. This proves that they take pride in their craft.

On the other hand, It's the sense of security that shapes the mindset of the big company groups like BP. They were popular from their debut and they knew it. Maybe this why they're not as hungry as small company groups.

I agree. BP's image is a lot more restricted and controlled in part because they are a girl group. They also need to worry about the double standards that exist for women when they speak their mind.

No. They probably care about doing well like everyone else, even more when they have smashed so many times already and it's expected they continue to do so, but begging your fans for streams, charts and awards screams desperate.

I think that's also a reason why blinks try so hard for them.

In order to ask blinks to stream they would have to actually stop hiding behind the paywall and start interacting with the fans. Hard to ask the fans if they don't even interact with them if not paid
