I think you're underestimating how many Western producers Kpop has been using for a long time now.

K-pop has always been inspired by western music.The thing that sets it apart as its own genre is its maximalist approach.

Well actually i watched a video on samples used in kpop songs that most of yg teddy songs use sample by a producer kshmr. Thats why i thought why their many songs sounds arabic or middle eastern. So their songs are not made in korea like you think because it uses many outside producers samples.

they lack the variety that they used to have imo. Everyone is following the same concepts and sounds. Kpop is losing some of that magic lately.

SM uses the most western producers since the test of time. I miss songs from Korean producers like Sweetune, etc.

Personally I don't believe so. A lot of songs have English versions now and even the music has gone off a little bit since my introduction to K pop all those years ago. Second gen will always reign supreme to me.
