I know OP is just trying but I’m gonna take this opportunity to brag
BTS debuted from a small, nearly bankrupt company. Their debut was small but captured some loyal fans which grow organically. They are the best example of starting from the bottom and keep going up. The most organically grown group of all. No seniors to help them. No label reputation/clout to help them. They did it all on their own.
Many Big3 groups had bigger debut than BTS but they are definitely not above BTS now. So huge debut doesn’t mean huge success.

If BTS only sold 58k in 2013 then yes NewJeans debut is bigger so not sure why people are laughing at me.

EVERY idol group from an established company had a bigger debut than BTS. BTS was from a no-name company that had to struggle to get broadcast time for them since BTS and their company was nugu. In fact, when they did start gaining success several albums in, they got accused of sajaegi since how does a nugu sell so much? Then the company had to go to court to prove they didn't have the finances to do this anyway and were close to bankruptcy at one point. LMAO.
