Sonically, it's just something people really like.

Just like how just about every song in western pop had an 808 in it at some point

With just a few songs having it I still consider it being rare and not so common.

Maybe, but oriental tune is fun. I don't think there are many people in Kpop except Blackpink and a few other groups.
