Nowhere near the gg rookies' impact but bg rookies that made a little bit of noise I guess are xdinary heroes, tempest, tnx and atbo. Doubt atbo will get it since they're are very new and I know absolutely nothing about tnx other than they were formed through the survival show with psy and jyp. Tempest have hanbin fans backing them and could get a few votes from people who watched i-land, such as engenes. So they could win in voting heavy awards. But xdinary heroes could get a few votes from jyp stans and I think they have more recognition amongst kpop stans than the others. So yeah it will probably be between xdinary heroes and tempest.

agree need more gf awards except not for new jeans they just debuted and they haven’t proven much except that they have a good producer, ppl r just overhyping them bc they’re pretty young girls

I agree that rookie girl groups are on top, but the guys need something to work for.

But yeah, I wonder, by removing it for the bg and giving it all to the ggs this year, could that motivate companies to improve so their bgs would having a good impact in both gp and fandom?

The problem for bgs is no big company debut. Look at which ggs are competing this year mostly all big company ones

NO. Participation trophies as one other user said, and another is making those bgs feel as if their contributions aren't being appreciated. It's good that we are finally giving women the recognition we deserve but not at the expense of the opposite gender.

That's not how it goes tho. Small companies in general don't get attention so unless they go viral or something it's impossible to gain more attention. Like for me i can't even name one bg who debuted recently except tempest and tan. Why big3/hybe get attention because they have a big company name attached to them most of the time.
