We all been knew, how they are under reporting BTS contributions to show they are “ diversifying their IPs and lessening their dependency on BTS” when in reality BTS make the most profits via direct and in direct means.
Park Jiwon is a business man who’s interests are solely the share holders investments, so he does everything in power to portray how others artists are also profitable like BTS.
In reality BTS is one of the worlds most popular artists compared to other artists in their label. They will always one up them by default. They should truly look for ways to diversify their business via acting labels, modelling labels, gaming, IT- something that truly has less dependence on BTS instead of under reporting BTS

I think HYBE'S situation with BTS is similiar to YG's situation with BigBang back then. BigBang was the biggest artist and made the most money. Especially after 2NE1 disbanded, BigBang seemed like the only big group in YG. Which they were kind of. And now they have Blackpink. What I want to say is that even when it doesn't look like they have a artist who can lead the company, it can happen in the next years. Blackpink wasn't their biggest artist in 2016-2019. They changed the game in 2020 and it can easily happen with HYBE too.

That’s like saying there’s gonna be an even bigger act than BTS from Hybe
I think it’s even more likely for Hybe to develop or grow their other indirect profit avenues rather than trying to make another BTS. Because that’s just plain impossible. It’s going to take decades
Afterall BTS isn’t really your average top kpop group

Not really. The economic impact of BTS is much bigger. Even if hybe have the current BP along with the rest their of their artists, their revenue will still be on the decline without BTS.

We been knew

well, yeah the economic impact is not comparable but this is not what I mean.
The situation is just similar. What I want to say is that YG was dependent on BigBang and HYBE on BTS and that YG found a new artist so why shouldn't it possible for HYBE ? The situation is much harder compared to YG's, I agree but it is still possible. Even when it is very very very very hard.

sorry but wasn't my point. The point was that it is possible and not impossible like some people pretend. Even when they chance is almost zero.
The point of my comment was that everything can happen. Back then everyone said the situation for YG looked bad with BigBang going to military. Nobody thought that BP would become this big. I mean nobody expected BTS to become so big so why shouldn't make it a other group of HYBE too?
I'm not comparing the economic part or saying what they should do. I have no idea, lol.
I just want to say that a situation can change. Can. Not will.

when you are playing the stock market game, it is very hard to depend on just one asset.
But Hybe is sending new groups so often that at the end it is decreasing the value of each one.
But i might say that the name of BTS on hybe is making those groups to have great debuts, at the long run we will have to see if they can sustain the company too, without depending all on BTS.

with BTS, Hhybe would me a medium level company, their groups survive off BTS completely more than any other ocmpany. It was smart of them to purchase other companies with Seventeen and the like. That made their survival possible if BTS ever decides to leave.

They probably plan on releasing a bunch of groups, find the most successful, and eventually drop or under-fund the others.

I agree we all knew this - sometimes it when I remember how huge BTS has become I get goosebumps.
It takes time to diversify the income from across different business units and investments. HYBE isn’t only diversifying its music business through all the sub companies and labels, but other side business too - Weverse and other IP things - which is smart.
It’s def too early to say if they will be successful w/o BTS in the long run. Time will tell.
