NCT 127 - Chain
Format: EP (mini album)
Date: May 23, 2018
Special Release: Japanese
Tt: Chain
Choreo: Rino Nakasone and Jumi Lite
Chain is NCT 127's debut Japanese EP and the first Japanese-specific release of any of the units.
SM announced that NCT 127 and Red Velvet would debut and hold a showcase tour in Japan to support its new partnership with Avex Trax. The EP features 5 songs, including four new songs and a Japanese version of "Limitless."
The members include: Taeil, Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Jungwoo, Mark and Haechan.
Chain was preceded by the Japanese version of "Limitless" as the first single on November 4, 2017, followed by the single "Chain" on May 8, 2018. The title track "Chain" later received a Korean version in the group’s repackaged album, Regulate.
The tt is very "Neo" with an industrial sound layered on the group's soaring vocals and propulsive raps. The choreo was created by renowned choreographer Rino Nakasone, working with Jumi Lite. Nakasone would go on to choreograph and direct NCT 127's two tours, Neo City: The Origin and Neo City: The Link.

NCT 127 - Up Next Session: NCT 127
Format: EP (mini album)
Date: October 22, 2018
In Oct 2, 2018, NCT 127 became the first and only K-pop group selected to appear in Apple Music's "Up Next" spotlight series, which focuses on rising talent.
NCT 127 had previously been Apple Music's first K-pop "New Artist of the Week" in 2017 for "Cherry Bomb," as well as premiering a special choreography video of "Touch" exclusively on Apple Music.
As part of the "Up Next" promotions, NCT 127 featured in special videos, a rooftop performance in LA, performances at Apple Stores and an exclusive Apple Music EP.
The members include: Taeil, Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Winwin, Jungwoo, Mark and Haechan.
The EP combines songs from three previous EPs with exclusive remixes and versions, as well as one new song, "What We Talkin' Bout."
This release occurred during NCT 127's heavy American push to support Regular-Irregular, so three of the four songs are in English: a remix of the English version of "Regular," a new English version of "Cherry Bomb" and a new R&B song "What We Talkin' Bout" (feat. Marteen).
Taeyong and Mark already have writing credits on "Cherry Bomb" and "Regular" and also have lyrics credits for the new song.
Because this was an Apple Music exclusive, all of the songs on this EP are only available on this release through Apple Music, which is paid. However, the songs are available for free on YouTube through SM's channels.
