Nakasone was born in Okinawa and decided at age 14 that she wanted to become an entertainer after being inspired by Michael Jackson's Dangerous tour. She moved to the US at age 19 to pursue our dreams, enrolling in college in Los Angeles. She auditioned and became a backup dancer for Janet Jackson and Britney Spears, before joining Gwen Stefani. She appeared on American TV in the show America's Best Dance Crew, where her group finished as runner-up.

During this period, she also began choreographing Kpop videos, making her debut as the choreographer for Shinee's debut single "Replay" after someone in the group saw her on YouTube. Nakasone went on to choreograph many iconic choreos, working with SM Entertainment, including Girls' Generation "Genie" and "The Boys", Shinee "Lucifer and TVXQ "Keep Your Head Down."

She also began doing projects throughout Asia, including Japan, Taiwan and China, including choreographing for Japanese ads and appearing on TV shows.
