Deez

I. Introduction

Deez is a Korean singer, songwriter and producer, who has written and produced songs for Rain, BoA, Miss A, TVXQ!, Girls' Generation, SHINee, Taemin, Jonghyun, Red Velvet, EXO, Baekhyun, Kai, NCT, Wanna One, Twice, Lay, WayV, Ten, aespa, Viviz and ITZY.

II. Career

Deez began his career as a R&B singer. While he was preparing his first EP, he attracted interest from the Kpop star Rain. He composed two songs for Rain's massively successful Rainism album. He released his first EP in 2009, followed by an album in 2010, however, the success of his writing career prompted him to shift direction. He worked primarily with JYP, then moved to SM Entertainment, where he has composed signature songs for artists like Baekhyun and NCT 127.

Deez has discussed how he always applies his R&B style into his song structure, from harmonies to the arrangements. Members of NCT 127, who worked with him on Neo Zone, where he was a composer and arranger and vocal director for many songs, describe him as one of their favorite producers. Working with Dem Jointz, Deez is responsible for some of NCT 127's signature songs, including "Cherry Bomb" and "Kick It."

Additionally, he has worked on songs for many SM artists, including TVXQ!, BoA, EXO, SHINee, Jonghyun, Taemin, Kai, Lay, Girls' Generation, NCT Dream, WayV and aespa. He also worked with other artists, including ITZY and Viviz.
