It's already happening on twitter lol. I literally just saw someone seriously say that it's not OK for newjeans to have fans after 3 days, but it's okay for them to have haters. 77k album preorders really making people lose their minds

I really don't get the whole thing with policing when people stan a group.

Like, does it matter when someone stans? It's not your money right. People stan groups for different reasons, and let's admit it's not always about the music for some fans. This is not new to KPOP. If a group clicks with you, it just does. Doesn't matter when.

So like.....which kpop group that gained interest DIDN'T get hate? Lol. It's just the same kpop cycle over and over again. The predictability of it all is actually getting kinda boring NGL.

(just wait for the group to get their first CA scandal because a member wore a funny looking hat. Or the usual "the group can't sing because they don't sound like Beyonce live" accusations)

i rememeber seeing a video on aespa at coachella. they'd basically just finished their performance and i saw a video trashing them

Exactly this. I don't understand why kpop fans think there are standards a group has to pass for fans to be able to stan them. Let people enjoy who they want to. It's been annoying to see people I don't even actually know in real life tell me and others why we can't stan a certain group because it makes us a company stan or a success stan or a visual stan. And no matter what reasons you give, it's not enough for them to understand that people have different reasons for connecting to groups.

As for the first video, I don't know how attention is better than Hype Boy but to each their own. As for the hate? I honestly don't get the obsession with having to be the BEST at singing or the BEST at dancing or whatever. If that's the reason to hate on a group then I think that's just stupid. People say the same thing about IVE or really just any Kpop group in general.

But they are idols not freaking Olympic championship competitors.

It doesn't matter to me if you can sing like Mariah Carey or dance like Micheal Jackson if I don't like any of the songs or the members.

For me, so long as the music is good, the members are eye-catching, and everyone has a great personality then that is enough.
