I feel Japanese releases are too limited, there'll barely be any international content where the majority of the fanbase sits and the distribution is much more difficult so it'll get minimal support. Going by recent history an English song has just as much chance to do well in Japan.

Warner would also probably have to get a cut on top of JYPE for a Japanese release so can't see it being as fruitful for Mina herself.

Mina def would kill it with a solo. I can see her with either an ethereal concept of doing a city pop song

Hopefully she mostly debuts in Korea, but has Japanese versions of her songs too

i can see her breaking 500k sales with a kr release; can't say the same thing about a jp album (probably somewhere around 100-150k)

also, a kr track will see success globally (including japan), whereas a jp track will only see numbers in japan
