I know it make sense for Hybe in business point of view but it’s hard to wrap my head around it… like planning 3-4 gg under different companies. They all each other’s competitors, they take away profit from each other. And there are other big companies with already existing big fandom supports. The chance of some of the new groups being unsuccessful is growing the more group Hybe start. There is already tons of groups. I feel like they trying to bite more then what they can chew.

The Japan groups make sense because they are different market but the others.

JYPE's monopoly on KPOP/KPOP influenced GGs in Japan may be on it's way out.

My initial thoughts after seeing this line-up.

1. Ohyama Ruan, Pretty.

2. Agarihiga Aoi, Pretty. Wonder what her voice sounds like.

3. Kitadera Uwa, reminds me of Momo.

4. Nishihara Noa, actress? Visual. Bias? The one I think is most likely to debut. Her or Ohyama Ruan.

5. Yamasaki Ria, reminds me of Hyolyn. Bias?

6. Daily Tabatha Mia, knew she was hapa without even seeing her name. Could appeal to the West.

7. Okada Ayano, love her vibe. Her ear poking out is "kawaii" as they say. Bias?

8. Nishida Runa, is she also hapa? Gives me Bahiyyih vibes.

From a business standpoint, it makes sense but other than that it’s sort of moronic if we’re being honest as if the group plans to go global, they’ll be on Korean platforms similar to xg competing with Korean groups in Korea and the international market. If people start favoring those jpop groups more, Korean companies sure will be in a pickle as the industry depends more on foreign currency because the market outputs more than it can chew and less Koreans are becoming interested in idols. The Japanese market will benefit and more foreigners will be interested in Japanese music which failed to have the same type of following as its Korean counterpart which does absolutely nothing for hallyu.
