GIRLS review (album)

I agree. It didn't do a lot for me either. I felt a couple of the songs were a bit long and apart from Lingo which is my favourite, this album was a bit of a disappointment. I personally don't see what all the hype about "Girls" is, it went way too long and was a bit meh. For me I can only give this album a 2.5 out of 5.

I like Girls. But like Love Sick Girls, I won’t play it voluntarily. If it comes up in the radio or a playlist, I definitely will bop to it though

I agree, i liked every track on savage (minus the title track lol) but in this i only like illusion

What music do you listen to to call Girls an experimental song? It's a hiphop track. Like legit just a hiphop track. There's nothing experimental about it. Like it's a bit rock infused, but like that's a ton of hiphop right now.

Wow, I have to give the album another listen but I think I'm kind of opposite on this from you. I don't think the album is that bad. I like Girls and think it's their best title track since Black Mamba. I like Illusion too but not sure I musically comprehend what's so dramatically different from Girls that folks would have polar opposite opinions over the 2.

And damn I guess maybe I'm generic trash or something but I like Lingo!

I better hear no hate in here on Dreams Come True though. Admittedly they "PM Dawn"-ed that song but it's easily my favorite aespa track, which probably reveals to people my overall thoughts on aespa.

I like the Girls EP.

But Savage EP is just too good, very good.

I didn’t even listen the 2 new tracks, but a disappointment.

Illusion was excellent, girls not bad but too nosy. I usually love aespa TT, but this wasn’t good at all, and I didn’t have the same hype i had during savage.

The album is just a playlist, Country, EDM, ballad wtf is that.

Life's too short - I won't go out of my way to listen to it again but I won't skip it either if it comes on.

Girls is a disappointment for me especially after the greatness that is Savage which I revised immediately afterwards (Lucid dreams remains their best album track)

This is probably why I can't Stan any groups besides BP, no consistency whatsoever

Blackpink turn you into meta human with their evolution music

I actually like Girls the most out of their title tracks. Okay its not the best song ever, But compared to other Aespa title tracks it definitely is. Songs like Next level and Savage, though intriguing to listen to, didn't necessarily keep me hooked, and wouldn't be songs I would listen to without the MV.

Girls has the vocals, and harmony, that I like to hear in songs. I like consistency, and this song has it. Halfway through I was praying that there doesn't end up being a weird switch, like there is with next level and savage, and I was relieved when there wasnt.

Is Girls NCTish? don't know as I haven't listened to too much NCT.

I absolutely love Girls.My favorite tt of theirs by a long mile.Such an epic banger.

The other new songs,on the other hand,I find a bit underwhelming.

honestly, I`m a big fan of rock elements. lol so I like the mix with other genres. the song is a bit underwhelming compared to their other title tracks though.

its a great 'filler' to the album. its easy to listen to without it getting annoying. its still no genius song.

the best part are the higher vocals in the 2nd half.

verse is great with the deep beats and rap, chorus is too happy/childish sounding to me. I would have liked a darker route more.

the original is still better! but I would not skip it ofc. the song itself is great. honestly I hope they wills top switching between happy and dark sounds. I like their dark sound way more.

Savage remains the superior title track to me

Girls as an album overall was definitely a downgrade from their previous one (it doesn't help that it has my least favourite track from them: Forever) but I wouldn't have ranked it 4/10

ICU was boring and verging on Forever levels of boring whilst Lingo was just ok.

Dreams come true (SES remake) and Illusion was a bop though and Girls is growing on me

Girls is more safe as a title track then Illusion imo but I think since Girls was an easier sound for them to adapt into their storytelling that probably played a factor into why they chose it

The credits just say We Dem Boyz according the posts on Twt. It doesn’t say anything about it being a NCT song

I like Girls and I like Illusion, but the rest of the album was disappointing for me. I really loved the Savage album..I think if you like a more traditional pop-py gg sound, then you may like the other tracks on the album.
