is there any hope for 4th gen boy group to appeal on GP ?

There are tons of good songs that can be sonsidered public friendly, especially amongst bsides..the public just doesnt care..i think only if something happens and a bg goes viral. I still believe that if Treasure were known in korea darari could have become a hit.

I dont think 4th gen bgs can do anything about it, people say problem is noise music but even O.O charts better. It is very clear that gp doesn't care new boygroups. They can chart decent only with increasing their kfanbase.

All you guys need to do is stream more DKZ and it will happen

if TXT can't crack it despite them hovering close to the top 100 on Melon then I don't see how the rest of them can make it. Korea just doesn't care about BGs, which isn't surprising since the only chart relevant older BG is BTS anyway.

No they do not, they don't even do as well as other bgs like TXT and SKZ

I'd say they need a couple of actors of members to go on variety. A big issue with 4th gen BGs is a lack of visibility to the public.

Enhypen or Txt, they’re the only 4th gen boy groups with good music..

of course there's a chance there's always a chance

but the question is why though? and does it matter?

why not just enjoy your fav 4th gen BG's music (and other content) - does it really matter at the end of the day whether they hit top 5 melon or 500 on melon???

With what is on right now I think there needs to be a mix of virality (which can be super random), existing SK fandom, varieties and or actor jobs in the good shows (with decent acting because idols get often criticized for not acting well), serendipity and perhaps a good song, it's the most important thing but it's not necessarily what shoots a group to the top

Darari went viral in SK but even more so internationally, same for enhypen's Polaroid love but it was first and foremost on tiktok, impacted Spotify well and it helped them rise on the most popular kr which is melon but the thing is that their fandom before was minimal so it's not enough to crack top100 and also virality is super fickle which doesn't help when the company isn't reactive.

So not the peak but a good help to get a little more recognition.

Enhypen needs more than 40k USD donation for bugs IDs to appeal on GP. 40k is never enough. Just do like SKZ. Although their tracks are out of Top 1500 Melon within days, they do well internationally. There are bigger markets out there. They don't care even if you treat women badly, it's the magic of Kpop itself will earn them those juicy $$$. Noise music? It doesn't matter. They don't understand Hangul.

I really don't think so. 4th bg's do put out music that are easy to listen to and are supposedly "gp" friendly, and those still don't do anything. The public just doesn't care, and I think it will take a miracle to get some kind of attention.

Anyways, anticipate P1harmony to save them from flopping k thxxxx
