Jiyoon has officially departed from Weeekly after two hiatuses caused by anxiety (im not okay)

i hope she feels better soon i can't imagine how hard of a decision that must've been

it's such a pity but whatever is good for her, I hope she finds peace and happiness now

Shin Jiyoon was one of the OG members of Weeekly.

She, along with Leader Lee Soojin and Park Soeun, trained since before 2016, in order to debut in IST Ent's 2nd girl group after Apink. That's why she appeared in 2016's Mixnine under IST's old name Fave Ent.

That's 4-5 years of her life spent training for her dream. For her to give up her dreams just like that means it must have been very serious.

I hope for all Daileee's sake that Jiyoon releases a personal farewell note, either in writing, audio or video just for a sense of closure. Also I hope IST always keeps the door open for Jiyoon to rejoin Weeekly when she recovers.

This reminds me of when former-OMG member JinE left the group so early into their career. The company, members, medical professionals, and herself thought it would be best if she focused fully on recovery.

I hear of her hiatus even if I don't follow weekly, how she wirte some songs for the group so it was probably very in important to her. To leave it it must mean her sickness need even more attention and idol life took a lot from her

I'm so sad. I will miss her songs, her joy, her singing and dancing

The two consecutive hiatuses made it an eventuality but it's hard to see it being real

Shit that sucks she took part in composition and lyrics of some bsides too Ireally liked her even though she wasn't my bias. Her different voice was a nice fit in the group imo
