This thread just ain't the same without the army...
Indeed, without clowns this topic is a little boring.

But the comment is valid. They need apologise to BTS, Ssera, and Illit.
Why and why apologize? Why don't Illit apologize to NewJeans for stealing MHJ's work? Why don't Le Sserafim apologize for their poor performance at Coachella? Why doesn't BTS apologize for sajaegi? Remember children, no one owes anyone anything.
Following this thread for a couple of days and all I can say is MHJ's supporters make Hybe stans look sane in comparison. Some of you have no shame acting like you're on MHJ's payroll. Hybe is problematic AF but what's makes you think that siding with this psycho woman makes you superior for some reason?
Calling out people for coming and hating NJ but where was this energy when a 50 years old woman was publicly hating on a bunch of other groups most of them in including kids and young adults?
If MHJ has any decency she wouldn't have called out any names, if you want to cry about 'plagiarism' then call out people directly responsible for it like producers, choreographers and so on, not the kids who are doing just what they're told to just like her precious girls.
So yeah, you're a bunch of hypocrites, the kpop moral compass and mental gymnastics olympics strike again.
Seriously? You know, she openly named some bands, but what did Hybe do? He said that there was no need to involve any groups, then he sent batches of material to his journalists so that they would write loud headlines with the names of different groups. MHJ didn’t say anything like that, even before all the events, Le Sserafim was mired in a stream of criticism due to Coachella, and Illit was already called a copy of Jeans before its debut. The creative director of Belift herself did all the work for the mass hatred of Illit, and Le Sserafim only increased the hatred with their arrogant behavior. Don't blame MHJ for everything because she didn't do anything.
I hope the MHJ law firm is already preparing documents to file a lawsuit against HYBE for unjustified dismissal. I remind you of a global conglomerate that fires people due to personal grievances, these fired people are obliged to sue a large sum of money and this is a serious blow to the company’s image.
Display MoreOoof.
I think SQU4D tried to keep up with the Jonses, aka AESPA, New Jeans, LSFM, and IVE.
So, we got what we got. Just when I thought they were starting to learn how to actually promote NMIXX properly after the amazing promotions that were Dash...livegate happened.
But, at the end of the day, NMIXX will be fine. They have a solid fanbase (even despite the inflated sales), and I'm not worried as a fan. They will probably always be a mid-tier GG, but who gives af as long as my faves can live their dreams being artists.
In fact, A Midsummer Nmixx's Dream is a great album, I would like it in my collection, it's a shame it's a single album. I can see why people buy it, its aesthetics are incredible.
After Hybe's disgraceful loss, did fans start attacking other companies and groups? They are so pathetic, they should have calmed down and accepted failure.
Bc it's not about the vocals, it never was
If it was, nmixx would be doing well to begin it
And now that they prove themselves again, they don't care, bc it's not genuine, bc vocal don't matter yet again
They should have covered Le Sserafim on Easy/Smart. Are these media games good?
Hybe said it already looks like a joke. For some reason, it seems to me that Hybe’s latest statement is just another media game.
They have already been exposed for their abuse of media games that defame anyone; it is ridiculous to believe them.
It's funny that there are those who criticize JYP in this media game when Le Sserafim recently embarrassed themselves at Coachella and HYBE commissioned articles to make the group's performance look like a success. What JYP did was a great move and I wish more companies would do something like this instead of having media outlets badmouth their competitors to make their own groups look better.
Display MoreEmphasizing vocal "talent" means you've already lost tbh. The GP dont care about "vocals" in Kpop music.
I mean the list of flop main vocals is a MILE LONG. What It Girl has ever become an It Girl for channeling her inner Whitney or Mariah?
Jennie, Suzy, Irene, Yoona, Hwasa, Hani, Seolhyun, Wonyoung, Karina. Exactly zero became famous for their vocal prowess.
Hell, we can even lower the bar from It Girl to just being the most popular in your own group. I cant think of a single group where the main vocal is clearly the most popular member except for Baemon with Ahyeon. There are some names below where the main vocalist can be argued to be the most popular depending on whether you're talking about fanbase vs GP, domestic vs international, blah blah blah.
But overall, this list shows you exactly what being the "best singer" gets you in Kpop...
Bubkis.
Rose
Ningning/Winter
Dany/Hanni
Lilly/Haewon
Haseul/Cherry
Fake Minju
Ahyeon
Once your it girls are 25+ years old, they can be retired. Beauty is lost with age, but vocals are not, which is why many vocalists release albums even at 30+ years old, and where are your it girls now? Well, yes, they sit at home and do the cleaning. Women at 25 are no match for the young and beautiful, even Irene is significantly inferior to Wonyoung or Karina, who are simply younger
To follow up, there is a great example with such a cool group G-Idle who spent just a huge amount of money on Superlady and Wife, but at the top of the charts there is just a b-side with minimal investment. I'm not defending JYP, I'm defending nmixx and Squ4d, who have already stepped on the rake of moving away from mixx-pop just because the general public didn't like it. And of course we are grateful that this was a one-time event and Nmixx continues to be Nmixx, and not another TikTok group
I already said it before in another thread but JYP has no good objective music taste. They think singing talent automatically equals success
They won't put in the effort to make nmixx a good song, they'll just keep pumping out the same music and stay wondering why nmixx is so unsucessful compared to aespa, new jeans, and ive. No forced vitality is going to make anybody stan them, their just stupid.
And now a little truth, Newjeans are the leaders of the 4th generation, their music is perfect for them, all the tracks are hits. Aespa armageddon - flop, supernova - bop, guess what track they chose as the title. Aespa's album was as average as it gets, and under Lee Soo-man their discography was much better, I still consider that period to be their peak. IVE has been doing something weird lately, Heya couldn’t even win a single award or take a PAK, and this is with a Baddie track that’s even worse. They make very cool songs, but mixed with just terrible tracks that are unlistenable, and you know what I don’t want to listen to IVE encore. They are simply repeating the fate of ITZY, who released SOTY tracks at their debut, and then the quality began to decline and now they are scrambling to find their own genre. Nmixx already has a genre they stick to, I'll never hear them say anything they're bad at.
Display MoreBro, NOBODY cares about this. Nobody in the real world at least, only weirdo Kpop stans make pop music into some crazy high school talent contest.
NMIXX could be Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston combined and they still would be relatively nugu.
It's about SONGS, it's about group or member POPULARITY and IT GIRL status, it's about VIRALITY and TIMING/LUCK.
Chungha dominated the Korean pop scene a few years back. Now she's nowhere to be found....did she suddenly forget how to sing or dance?
What kind of popularity are we talking about? I doubt any fourth generation group can pull off a Twice/BP tour these days, even with the incredible popularity of their hits. I'm ready to listen to their tracks on the way to work, but I'm not ready to support someone just because they released some hit. I don’t even want to listen to the album, I only liked one track, which is at the top of the charts. And considering that these hits are being pushed everywhere on YouTube, shorts, Instagram, Tik Tok, over time.
If it’s really interesting, American pop stars have been building up their fandoms for 10 years, while K-pop fans expect that in 2-3 years of releasing hits their fandom will be at the same level - no.
It's getting boring. Nmixx has developed a long term strategy to build a fandom, it may be slow but I am confident that this group will last for over 7 years.
Magnetic is better if you are 13 years old and your goals in life are to make faces in front of the camera while recording another video on TikTok. The only advantage of Magnetic is that it is shoved into Spotify autoplay; this track is not capable of anything more. If it was a good track, it wouldn't need payola, it would eventually trend like Supernova, which is a really good trending track. illit will never be able to perform a single nmixx track in their life, while Sullyoon for the first time in her life performed Magnetic better than the original group
Nmixx music is too difficult for children, it's more adult music. That's why many people don't like her, but that doesn't make her bad, and they form a strong fandom that will always support her. They have absolutely unique creativity, while some always float in criticism for plagiarism, nmixx just want new cool tracks. You are too focused on the charts, Magnetic is an absolutely stupid song for TikTok in all your top charts, the reason being HYBE bought autoplay.
I'm not surprised by this, all that remains is to expose the Hybe sajegi and with this the MHJ mission is officially completed
That's if MHJ wins the court case and can leave HYBE. New Jeans aren't going to take HYBE's side because MHJ doesn't want them to question her. She is an adult, she knew the girls before they were 18, she has had time to make them believe HYBE is out to get them.
There is no good outcome in all of this. The only normal outcome is MHJ leaving Ador. HYBE still owns most of Ador. Tokkis have no out in this whole situation, we all just want the girls to be happy and stress-free. Of course, we want them to be successful, but like I said what can we do.
There is no way she will be able to leave Hybe, they are currently considering a court case to prevent Hybe from firing her. The point is that if she remains at Hybe, she will continue to work with NewJeans until the end of the contract, while Ador will still be independent.
