This type of thing about someone receiving less backlash because of their gender reminds me of this

People are reluctant to see mhj the way she is (a creep) because theyre too enamored with the girlboss idea of her and they see it as a direct attack to their faves, not even just njs but also hybe as a whole.
Now saying what goes behind the scenes is something else entirely, i do think that the degrees of severity depends on the company but i'd like to believe that bigger kpop companies hold their idols to a higher standard to avoid abuse, but its tricky bc behind the scenes theres A LOT of people involved.
It's crazy, because even in big companies in the West like Nickelodeon there's very ugly stories about abuse, and even bigger stars such as Angelina Jolie, Brendan Fraser and Terry Crews had to deal with abuse of power as ADULTS, you can only wonder how it can be in a scenario that is far more isolating (no contact with parents, sometimes not even with people that speak the same language as you) and these people are much younger, inexperienced and vulnerable (most of them dont even have the money to back them up). The trainee debt alone is something extremely fishy. How are the trainees going to pay if they dont have money? Are the trainees themselves expect to pay it or their responsibles?
Just some ugly things we know about: YG sabotaged the group of his now wife because he "fell in love with her" and he met her when she was 14 years OLD! Theres a lot of ugly shit going on behind the scenes, to be honest its almost impressive how the k-industry is able to hide it better than most.
