Her voice seems improved, but it's a generic ballad for me. I will check it out more when the album releases, but it might not be a ballad for me. I will rate it a blop due to lyrical content

I will say give it time to see if the others post about it. I feel the current hate campaign is due to racism/xenophobia and jealousy. It's just sad to see international fans pile on her but it's clear they go at her for anything. Lisa was the underdog that exceeded expectations because nobody expected an idol from Thailand to be the most popular idol. I feel many are jealous for those reasons which is why they'll hate on her for anything these days

Too new to have much of an opinion. I thought they started out well, but their comeback was just okay. Minju clearly stands out and she has a nice voice. I can sense Yunah potentially becoming popular among international fans.
Hopefully their next comeback is stronger, but I don't think the gorup as a whole stands out when compared to their peers

I think discography-wise they are above average, although there are other 4th gen ggs that clear them: aespa, IVE, NMIXX, Billlie all have better and more interesting music and have reached a point where I'm confident that going forward I'll never be completely disappointed with a future cb.
With LSFM I really love half of their discography, the other half is not to my taste. Their 2022 releases were incredible and their debut mini might be one of the best debut albums in recent times. The following releases were very disappointing; perhaps it was my fault for having high expectations. Thus far, they had released music that could somehow flatter or hide their vocal skills (or lack thereof), but Unforgiven and the vocal dynamics in the track exposed their lack of skill quite a bit. Perfect Night was so insipid and soulless that I refuse to acknowledge its existence. EASY grew on me overtime but it's a style of music I completely despise (and that does not flatter them at all).
Take The Great Mermaid as an example (I love this song) - it's drenched in auto-tune and vocal processing but in a stylistic way that fits the song and gives it a unique mood. This is not the case with EASY which is just as equally flooded with processing.
CRAZY was actually a slight return to form and I was pleasantly surprised with how much I liked the release. Crazy and Chasing Lightning are among my favorite and most listened kpop songs of this year. Pierrot is also a compelling track production and arrangement-wise. But yk, no matter how good their music turns out to be in the future, I don't think I'll ever perceive them as a "safe" group, in that they could release something I detest right after an outstanding title track. I value consistency in music quality and this is LSFM's weakest point.
You could say their A&R's approach is "chasing whatever's trending" but the same can be said about more than a half of the kpop industry. HYBE is definitely a big culprit of doing that though because they struggle in defining their own group's sound and identity and stick to one when they find something that works. NewJeans is their only group with a distinct identity and vision and we all know how that went.
I won't go too much into the vocals discussion and Coachella-gate and I'll just say I agree that they need significant improvement and perhaps their attitude following the criticism wasn't the correct one imo, but the hate they got and still do is quite exaggerated and seems more like people using them as a punchbag for their own frustrations and insecurities than legitimate concern for the state of the kpop industry regarding vocal and talent. There are other less than acceptable vocals in other groups that people don't talk as much about, let's put it that way.
I disagree with the lack of stage presence argument people raised here, I think they have plenty of it and it's quite consistent within the members. Although I think they shine more in songs like Antifragile than EASY or Perfect Night, but that may be my personal bias coming into play here.
The girls themselves seem funny as hell and have good synergy. They seem like cool girls to hang out with, judging from the few interviews/variety videos I've watched.
In short, I think they're a fine group. Not "horrible" like some kpop stans label them as, but definitely not what HYBE thinks they are. I'll keep tuning in to their future releases and perhaps watch a performance here and there, but always accompanied by a lowering of my own expectations to avoid Perfect Night types of disappointments.
I think what happened was they started to chase what's trending. Unsure the longevity of things would be for them if they kept making music like they did in 2022. I enjoy their music, but their music in 2022 might be their best imo. I think they're undecided in which route to take the group because critics wise the 2022 stuff didn't get the best reviews, but them chasing trends did make more noise for them. Personally, I would prefer if they go back to music like blue flames, sour grapes, impurtities. I am just unsure business wise that is what Hybe wants to do since those tracks didn't make the most noise for them

They make great music and their members have great personalities. I think having Yunjin in the group helps a lot because she helps bridge content due to being fluent in English. So, it's much easier to follow this group than others. Watching their variety content you can see the appeal of the group because they can win you over with their charm.
I think one of the issues with Le Sserafim is they're performing songs that doesn't suit their vocals. You can find clips of them singing well, but they aren't recording those type of songs. I think that causes some of the issues when they perform live, but they're not awful live like many want you to believe. I enjoy listening to Chaewon and Yunjin sing. Also, I noticed Kazuha's vocals has improved.
I feel the constant nitpicking about them is unfair. The first week of coachella didn't go that well, but they did better on the 2nd week. Plus, the constant hate for the group was never about Coachella and it was more about stan wars bs.
Overall: they're a well rounded group that gets unfairly picked on. They have the ability to be good performers because they're able to handle choreography and have decent vocals. However, performance wise they aren't always getting songs that caters to their strengths.
My favourite members in order:
1. Yunjin
2. Chaewon
3. Kazuha

Why are they performing this over imaginary friend

It's a bop for me, but the song with Dean is better imo

I wonder if Le Sserafim being heavily promoted by Hybe changes perception. I was thinking about this just now, but Idle is successful in spite of Cube. Meanwhile, LSF are heavily promoted by Hybe. I like LSF, but them being in a big 4 company just created more opportunities and visibility. Meanwhile, Idle had to grind to get where they are today, and have less opportunities to gain visibility. It would be difficult for them to get a chance to perform at coachella, MTV awards, ambassadors of brands, etc. I guess it's one of those things about the difference being in a big 4 company.

Blop: It's better than the title track. The main issue with this release they haven't matched the title track and b sides for their debut. I don't think any of the songs on this release matches lucky girl syndrome and midnight fiction.

To have a rookie be in this Vanity Fair group is odd because while everyone else has acting careers, she is just starting so I'll bet some of the others internally was probably wondering why she was there. That's what I mean.
And, to my other point and maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think VF ever had inexperienced actors appear with experienced actors for interviews.
That's a fair point and setting her up in that regard. They had Hoyeon last year, but she was in Squid Games, so it made sense. They most likely should have waited a year or 2 to put her on the cover. They most likely included her to get people's attention and tap into a new audience.
Hopefully her role is important and not just a brief cameo

Supersonic is a great song!
I agree that it ended up working out for her because Kiss of Life is on a positive trajectory. Meanwhile, Fromis 9 is a neglected Hybe group that they forget exists.

The entertainment industry is built on connections, and it's wise for her to use them. Most entertainers are connected, and it would be foolish not to take advantage of that.

How many tickets were sold? 10?
It was sold out. It's most likely due to visa issues

I like them, but they're not a top 5 group. They started off strong, but kind of fell off. They're in the top 10 though
4. Idle
5. Le Sserafim
I think they're currently 6th, but can see a group like Kiss of Life having a bigger impact. I don't think groups like Artms, Qwer, TripleS, Nmixx, , Kep1er, Illit, and a few other finishing above them. I think there is a gap with the top 5 and the others. It is possible for a group like Babymonster to get ahead of them if they create a hit because they do have a lot of fans

Slight edge to Idle. I think LSF needs to have a world tour before we determine that .
Korea: IdleOther Asian countries: Idle, but LSF is more popular in Japan
Western countries: LSF
individual members: LSF
Domestic Charts: Idle
Global charts: Idle
Sales: Idle
Tour: Idle
Overall: I will give edge to Idle, but I feel LSF is not that far off. Individual members in LSF are more popular. I don't think Idle members will be more popular than Chaewon in Korea. Sakura might be more popular than them too, but Miyeon is gaining a lot of popularity with the amount of variety she has attached herself to. Globally I don't think any Idle member will be more popular than Yunjin. There is potential with Minnie and Yuqi becoming more popular due to very good English skills.

Fun performance and they had high energy. Feels like they're having a much better 2nd half of the year.

The Gaeun thing seems so odd. She was in Limelight and I am unsure if I believe their statement. Hopefully she's doing well and doing what's best for her
