Nice, to see a Jeon Jong Seo cameo in the MV.
I am interested to see a teaser for the 2nd single. Last year she did that with Hangang Gongwon and Hongdae R&B and it worked out well for her.

This is getting out of hand, RBW do absolutely nothing ... They ban you if you ask about a lightstick but let people insult her. There is litteraly bot made for harass her everywhere. Swan is such a queen trying to fight back always this hate but you can still tell she is affected by these comment in this clip.
Like wtf is this. How is she supposed to act like nothing is happening, the fandom is too small to fight against this even though i know plorys are doing their best

It's a shame they are harassing her about that when she looks fine.
Agree that their fan base is smaller, so hopefully other fandoms can rally behind her, so RBW can finally act on this. It's sadly not the first time she's been harassed and hopefully this stops because no idol should go through that
To improve the vibes had to post her performance. One of my favourite vocalist

My favourite soloist. She's versatile and her discography is amazing. She's also a good actor. I liked her role in The Worst of Evil

I think it's not worth to invest on MV, it's very expensive
That's exactly it. For example, Gidle had one of the most expensive MVs with Super Lady, but their b-side Fate outperformed it. I assume Klaxon was much cheaper to produce and that had a bigger impact

Love their friendship

That seems to be the current trend. I have noticed many idols are cutting their hair short. This hair style seems to be working for her

Wasn't Sticky a hit song? It wasn't as big as Tomboy, but you can argue it was the song of the summer.
I think they just need to pick better title tracks. For example Nobody Knows would've been a much better title track than Bad News. Then for their recent comeback they messed up making get loud the title track instead of Igloo. Picking the right title track is important because it's what gives people a first impression on a group. Those 2 songs would've done more for them in those eras.
Success will happen with the group naturally and they're gaining significant growth every comeback. They have the ingredients to continue their growth. They will naturally get their viral moments, and can argue they're in a better place than most group.
What's more important than a viral song is sustained success, and they seem to have that

I pre-ordered the album, and forgot it releases today. I will have to check it out later

Aren't they paid through fans buying individual NFTs? And their label can't afford dorms for all of them?
Unsure about the full details. They live in dorms, and have the option to leave the dorm when they're not promoting.
Financial compensation is trickier because they have a revenue share if an idol is a part of the project and there's also bonuses. The way the system works you get paid for your contribution and how hard an idol works. I don't think their digital token system is NFT, so it's not causing harm to environment.
I feel the system is exploitive on stan culture and it attracts many whales. It's why you see some bad stuff with their fandom. It's a double edge sword, but I think they're positioned better than most groups and they seem to be compensated.

Everything about this group screams disaster
They have one of the best discographies, and the idols seem fairly compensated. I agree that some of the stuff with this group screams disaster and they didn't need to have 24 members

I think magnetic was a blessing and a curse. It felt like that song overshadowed the members, and nobody really stood. I could be wrong, but it could be a fifty fifty situation where the song overshadows the members.

Luck and timing played a part in it. I think what sets Blackpink apart from other groups is star power. Say what you want about their music, but Jennie and Lisa commanded your attention. I think the group size helped too because it helped each member to standout and cultivate standom for each member. Also, Lisa being a SEA idol was key because I don't think you had many idols from that region in a big company.
I don't think the original idea of blackpink being a 9 member group would have the same impact. However, I think you might be able to swap out certain members. For example, you could swap out Jisoo for Miyeon, and it wouldn't change their trajectory.
Forgot to mention that Blackpink being an easy starter group during the kpop boom played a big part.

Most likely not. I am unsure if these groups will get a dreamcatcher moment. Maybe one of their songs becomes viral and earns them a win, but I highly doubt it

Similar thing happened with Nobody Knows and Bad News.

not only did they disband gfriend, they also come for the girls like this. nah I need hybe to dissolve like, tomorrow
This one is extra sad because they made a deal with Source for a reunion. It must be hard for them to go back knowing how the company feels about them
