I have no clue what they're doing with Somi. She's a talented artist and shouldn't be stuck being an influencer. I expected much more from her and it feels like TBL failed her.
Meovv looks like a talented group with a lot of potential. I hope they aren't going to go exclusive route because the girl group landscape is too competitive to sit on music. I hope they have a strong comeback and remain busy. The Blackpink method is not going to work and they need to be active

Always interesting to hear stories like that because there's most likely a lot of talent that miss out due to being unable to audition.

Enjoying her debut. The title is solid, but it's not amazing. The vocals on this are good and it sounded better than what I was expecting. Invasion and 258 are very good, and a a lot of fun with 258
I think it's smart to release it today because it's a much stronger song. I assume she wants to increase streams and sale and might as well do it now while the album is fresh. There are other songs she could release a MV for later but I think she needed to release this ASAP because people who don't listen to kpop are talking about it
I was shocked when she released this late last year. I wish she released it a couple of weeks later because it has potential to make my top kpop songs list.
I wonder if Modhaus will allow her to release more content because there's a lot of potential. There's so much potential with Triples because Sohyun could also try some solo stuff too because she's a fantastic lyricist.

The collab with Dua is not bad, it's just like any other Pop collab. I heard much better collab with Dua Lipa too. I'm not a big Lipa fan either, btw. I really liked her OST for the Battle Angel Alita movie, and the collab with Hwasa. That's a much better produced song, even tho it was made in Covid. My biggest problem with the Dua collab is that they don't sound good together, unlike with Hwasa, but that's not fair, because Hwasa is a much better vocalist, so.

After this, I can tell, Jennie has to do slow RnB and Jazz or indie Pop type of music like the collab with Dominic or Gambino. That's her style and suit her voice well. She's a decent rapper, but I'm not sure if rap actually suits her. I don't feel she stands out in the rap side of the industry. At least, not yet! To be fair, I already knew this before her album.
I don't think Blackpink will stand in their way too long. My prediction was that BP will (even if not officially) disband after this World Tour, or maybe they next if YG will give them a 10th Anniversary comeback.
That might be an issue with idol rapping. She's fine as an idol rapper but hard to hold your own when paired with actual rappers. I think it's the same sentiment if it's a pop singer trying to rap on a track with an actual rapper. Key for Jennie and Lisa will be for their teams to improve because I find lyrics need to be better especially when it's a song featuring a rapper.
I agree she performs better on an r&b song and she was at her best singing in those type of songs. I am curious if Jennie will tune down the rapping but I think she's decent enough. She just needs to improve the lyrics and delivery and should be fine. The same goes for Lisa and hopefully she can working building a connection with her music.
Blackpink is in an interesting spot where YG needs them more than they need them. There's a lot of money to be made with comebacks and tours but it's taxing. YG needs Babymonster to go another level so they can rely on blackpink less. I can see Blackpink getting this tour out of the way so they can focus on their solo careers

Catching up to this and the sentiment towards Hanni is disgusting. Hybe is at a point of no return because they're editing and lying about a lot of things. Hanni side of the story has been thorough but Hybe is trying to target her because they feel it's easier to attack the foreign idol. I feel this is why Hybe has been pushing exttra hard towards Hanni which is shameless

Jennie's album is stand out imo. It's the most complete of the projects and it has the most replayability
