They don't care about that. This is all about ego and not having a hand in creating NewJeans. If they created NewJeans, then they wouldn't want to discard them. Le Sserafim is their creation is the reason why they want them to be the main girl group

Soyeon can join mhj in her new agency
She did say she wants to write music for NewJeans

Wow, there's no Idle without Soyeon. I am scared they won't be able to perform their music because I assume Cube owns them. Each members have a shot at having successful solo careers, but this sucks if this is it.
Unsure how Cube will survive this because they neglected Lightsum. They have to pray their new GG has a strong debut

Didn't YG have more dirt on their name?
I don't think company image matters too much because time will heal their current wounds. They just need to make good music and groups, and a lot of this mess will be brushed aside. Both YG and SM did shady things in the past, and that didn't stop them from having the biggest groups in kpop

They did say they want to take out the k in k-pop

Nice to see their numbers rise after every release. They must've gained a lot of fans with Assemble24

The song is very good and I wish it was the title track instead. They also have a song on their album that's a sound they haven't really done before. I liked that era, but they went with the wrong title track and pre-release. It didn't matter because Fate found a way to go viral

I emphatically agree with you that a true solo without any Western star collaborations will definitely be the true test for Rosé, but we can't discount her role from APT entirely! Don't forget that BLACKPINK's/Rosé's/KPOP's name and power also helped propel Bruno Mars to heights he had never reached before too! He broke his record for most streams for a Spotify debut globally, and his last record he had for that was for a song with Lady Gaga!
KPOP is still really on fire I guess; tbh, a tiny bit of my concerns of KPOP's future have been assuaged by the successes of Rosé's solo collab w/Bruno Mars, that it is still reaching new heights of global impact, and we can't let him take ALLL~ the credit for the success of APT!
Even if it may be a fact that she is a BLACKPINK member and not necessarily Rosé's specific star power herself that is probably propelling this solo to fame.
That being said, Bruno Mars probably chose Rosé to collaborate with over any other BLACKPINK member due to her fame for her superior musical talent especially vocally compared to other BLACKPINK members who may be more internationally famous like Lisa or Jennie.
And I don't think it's a coincidence that the song that broke both Bruno's/ Rosé's/and all Kpop female soloists' previous records is higher quality and much catchier than the other BP's members recent solos since splitting off from YG's main record label for their solo activities.
To me that's possibly partly because of Rosé who both came up with the creative idea for and helped write the song (she and Bruno Mars are listed as the top 2 writers, which can be manipulated, but even having a semblance of an idea of Bruno Mars's and Rosé's songwriting talents, I bet it's actually true that they were both actually very involved). I don't think APT is a creation that another BLACKPINK member could've written or even chosen to do as a song, without Rose's unique penchant for musicality.
Don't discount Rosé's contribution to APT's success entirely! 😡
Agreed, that she's also playing a major role in the song's success, and it's not just Bruno. I think everything about the release is just a perfect storm, and it's nice to see things come together. Performance of the song makes me curious how she'll do for her next track because I assume it's going to be just her. She has a lot of momentum to crush thatas well. Plus, there was a lot of interest before apt because her preoders on itunes and other places were high when she announced her solo album

Hopefully it's a processing error, but this is sad to see. They make good music and are one of the most talented groups. They have one of the best vocalist in Swan. Goeun is also a top vocalist and the others are solid. Their dance line can compete with other groups, and overall they're well balanced. I guess the constant concept change hurts them, andtalent can only take you so far in this industry

It comes with territory when a group becomes popular . It happened with Idle where a few Nevies became toxic due to group reaching new heights. I don't think the loud minority represent a fandom. From what I've seen MYs aren't any more toxic than other popular groups. I think the Hybe leak about crushing Aespa is why some are toxic towards Hybe groups.

It's a great song, but what were they thinking when they took out Chaewon's Pikachu line in the English version
-
This is their best title track since sweet juice. I think the group works better when they have a darker concept. I think they were chasing some trends with some of their previous titles tracks. I am unsure if they will gain fans from this, but their fans will enjoy this. I hope they gain more fans because the group is too good to be in their current position

Nmixx - Fe3O4: Break was amazing. I highly recommend that EP. Nmixx can make good music, but they're inconsistent with their title tracks. I think people miss out on their b-sides.
Itzy's Born to Be album is very good, but their other stuff has been bad imo. I think that group is the most lost among the JYP groups. I think they need to evolve because it seems like they're an afterthought these days
Twice is fine and I enjoy Nayeon, Jihyo and Tzuyu solo work. Also, Misamo's debut was good
-
I think many are underestimating how much weight Bruno's name carries these days. Not to discredit Rosé but getting Bruno on a track is huge because he has global appeal and is popular in the US market. I think the real test is how good Rosé numbers are when she makes a solo song. I think she'll do well like the other members, but I feel that's the real test for her

I don't think Soyeon is renewing next month, and other members contract is up in May. There's no way they continue without Soyeon, so maybe she signs a short term deal to line up with the other members. Cube has some leverage due to most likely owning the name and catalogue.
The members do have many solo opportunities if they were to disband. I can easily see Miyeon, Yuqi, Soyeon, and possibly Minnie having a successful solo career. So, everything is up in the air

Nice, I will check them out. Hopefully the people on twitter and TikTok actually show support instead of attacking the new fifty fifty lineup

I think some people left the fandom after the scandal. Then some left due to music sounding vastly different post-scandal. I assume the fans they gained in OT5 era are most likely casual listeners.
