The meeting between the 3 NJmothers and PJW might be the silver bullet that will give MHJ her injuction because of one fact I have not seen anybody discuss : the timing wrt the content.

    - Barely more than a day after the audit starts, an audit started to assess what was going on at Ador and if its executive board had acted against HYBE's interests, HYBE's CEO PJW speaks of shelving NJ for 1+ year to find them a new project lead/producer. Between that and preparing for the cb, plus paying for the cb/album/promo and so on, it may be ~2 years before ADOR is back to really making money instead of spending residuals on trainees and so on.

    - So the audit has barely started but they already have made the decision to fire MHJ? Not even entertaining the idea that their suspicions may have been unfounded? Obviously the audit was never about finding the truth but about finding justification to get rid of MHJ (and her put options, more on that later).

    - They also have already made the decision to cease ador's collaboration with BANA (250, FRNK, Beenzino) and scrap the full album being prepared with them. So the first thing they want to do once back in the driving seat is to stop working with the people who have helped make NJ successful? The same people who produced Attention and Hype Boy, tracks that BHS found "lacking"?

So : MHJ is going to argue that not only are HYBE trying to fire her without cause against crontactual clause, they are doing it to try to save themselves from having to pay for her put-options and are very obviously planning to cripple NJ/ador as a plan B so that by the time the trial is over, those put-options are worth much less (*) even if MHJ win the case.

    * = The put option are worth ~100millions $ CURRENTLY because they are indexed on ador's growth over 2 years, wich is at +500%~~ right now. If ador "stagnates" for 2 years (see the planned NJ hiatus) and sees a growth of "only" 50% over those 2 years (wich would still be incredible), then the put-options are suddenly worth "only" ~10millions $. If it's a growth of 10%? 2 mills. No growth? 0mills. Negative growth? Then MHJ would only be able to "sell" her shares by PAYING Hybe to take them or face the fact that she is under a non-compet until she manages to divest herself of them. Litteral, actual debt slavery KEK, but sure HYBE is totally a good faith actor here. xD

Then MHJ is going to argue that, as a shareholder herself, HYBE crippling NJ and thus ador (because there is nothing else in ador), deliberatly or not, would be against some sort of shareholder protection and that, given how hard she had to fight to debut them as they are, and about how HYBE just came right out and admitted they still didn't believe in what made them successful, HYBE cannot be trusted to actualy manage ador correctly. With NJ as witness.

All that, just from HYBE/PJW just coming right out and not being able to hide their hate-boner for a hot second in a meeting with NJ's parent. Pure, literal-actual unforced error.

Please keep setting yourself up to catch some Ls Hybe, I wouldn't mind if you ended up being the one to shell out money when NJ leaves you. xD

Why is MHJ fighting to stay at Ador? At this point, there's no way this will be a healthy work environment. I've often wondered that in situations where people are fired contentiously and they sue for their jobs back. Why would you want the job back (unless you really are depending on the income and there's no other option). I'd sue for money but certainly not to remain at the job.

Emotional attachment to the NJ girls, the NJ concept and the overall project she was going for.

It already wasn't a healthy work environment but as long as both sides pretend the other exists in another dimension they can't directly interact with it can be ignored.

Also she may be actually fighting for de facto independance from HYBE rather than just return to statu quo.

I was just about to come post this lol.

Also something I didn't see included in the translations we were all going off of, but one of the chat messages has one of the members mothers telling MHJ to please reveal the whole Source timeline since HYBEs mediaplay was purposefully trying to paint MHJ as responsible for disbandment of Gfriend.

Yeah the text messages are a big plus as they weren't all being translated in real time and more than a few fell through the cracks without much if any attention being paid to.

Not surprising. And would have been worse if they had to pay the BP members to keep their management schedule.

They had to debut BM with all the shit it implies (ads/mediaplay, promotional material/styling for it, MV, performances on music shows and so on), then re-debut BM so it doubled the costs.

And we are talking about YG here, they aren't good at spending money efficiently : anyone here remembers all the noise made about how Pink Venom was the most expensive BP MV yet only for everyone wondering where all the budget went? Building specific sets with props, weird cameras rigs and so on actually costs a lot of money.

A bit late for most, I guess, but here is a translation of MHJ's press con with everything translated including the text messages appearing throughout.

Haven't watched it all myself so I can't comment on any issue of bias, but it seem to have been done seriously at least.

    what even is going on
why is she getting 75k usd from advertisers and why did hybe not call the police immediately if they want to use this as some sort of evidence in court

According to what I understand :

A lot of hair/makeup/styling is usually handled by the advertiser/location of the shoot. They hire the stylists and pay them.

ador would rather have their in-house people do it for a variety of reasons and so ask the advertisers to send ador the money so they can pay their in-house styling for the work provided wrt those activities.

If I understood correctly, ador has come to find that this is a bit burdensome on the admin/accounting/time front and decided to move to a system where the advertisers pay the stylists ador pick for NJ directly instead of having that payement go through ador.

The first comment in support of MHJ has a 4 to 1 like/dislike ratio and 2 to 5 (against MHJ) have twice as many dislike as they have likes, so I'm going with "no, the tide is still on MHJ's side".

i just cant imagine hybe would've done this without credible evidence backing them up.

While it would seem extremely stupid to do that and have an empty hand at the end of the day, we are speaking of people who felt it extremly urgent to respond to MHJ dragging them about their dissolving random photocard bullshit by saying ador wasn't cooperating with their environmental-conscious initiative only to have a million empty 17 cd cases hitting the streets of Japan two days later.

Sometimes people have just gotten so used to having the upper hand from money/power they have forgotten how to actually be competent.

Edit : also lying about MHJ's contract that one time, they just keep setting themselves up for some reason.

lol, but I think MHJ/NJ must have a serious legal case with proofs and evidence to maintain this descision. If they prove sabotage and mistreatement then hybe won't be able to block the termination right.

And during that proces time, NJ would be free right?

I would bet no, because hybe being shit to nj would be a different case to mhj screwing over hybe? So perhaps a counterinjunction stopping hybe from managing ador/nj with either a tutor for the company or nj being left in limbo?

    I dont actually fucking know.

More than the conflict between MHJ/Hybe, the public display around it ought to have BHS and PJW kicked out of any decision making at Hybe. Like wtf.

How do you go from "we have all the elements to show that MHJ has missused her position as CEO" to :

    - BHS is a cult member and pillar

    - BTS 2017(?) is plagiarism + payola

    - Dispatch is HYBE paid bitch

    - PJW is a perv and a backstabbing looser

    - BHS was so pressed by aespa winning an award that he texted MHJ over it

    - illit forever branded as a copy

    - le sserafim are spoiled princesses

    - entire knet unified against you

    Impressive self-own, really.

If she terminates their contract with the boards approval, could it possibly backfire on them at some point?

And if so was it the reason she wanted to make that decision alone?

No more than on her. And there are ways to make the decision "legitimate" from a business standpoint that would make it all legally airtight.

    (i. e. Selling NJ to another company against enough money that a court would consider it fair compensation. Essentially just shuffling ador to ador2.0 and cashing in a 200millions$ check of singaporean money for ador from ador2.0)

I thought it was the Hybe board that would have to approve contract termination since they own 80% of the shares? So if she had sole power to terminate contracts, then she could bypass Hybe board approval?

That's what i understood on first read but rereading it :

"Under the current shareholder contract, it is reported that the artist's exclusive contract is approved by the board of directors just like other general entertainment companies.

Hive reportedly rejected the offer as unreasonable.

Currently, the board of directors of Adore is composed of three members, and Min is in control as three people, including Min himself, a close aide, Shin, and Kim, have voting rights."

Wait. So MHJ wanted to be able to terminate NJ's contract by herself, instead of doing it through a board that she still controls? And it happened in february? And she already controlled the board at the time? So it really wasn't needed if she wanted to empty ador? Especially if she didn't suspect the audit?

Yeah that was a negotiating position or a rebuttal to Hybe wanting to put a few loyalist on the board as a price for concessions.

If her lawyers can't comptemtuously handwave that away I'll be surpised.

Probably slander more than anything else

Autotune, lore nobody cares about, comics nobody reads, autotune, uninspired teasers, basic packaging, autotune, expensive mvs that show no purpose other than being expensive, autotune, difficult and inappropriate choreography, micro skirts, a few good albums at the start that quickly degrade.

    Did I mention autotune?

Yes, but you did forget about having the idols strain to reach notes they have no hope of actually carrying when the time comes. Then autotuning it anyway.
