Sorry, but I can't take an educated position on every genocide going on in the world. I'm not even going to get into how horrible it would be for your mental health to be emotionally invested/plugged into every horrible thing going on the world even when it does not personally affect you.
I focus my time on the important issues in me on life such as being able to afford ever increasing housing costs, food etc.
And trying to improve the lives of my family and not making the community around me worse.
These are the things that I can actually affect in a positive manner that make my life and the lives of those around me a little better.

do you think people can stay neutral regarding the holocaust? no because it was obviosuly a genocide. whats happening in palestine IS a genocide, not a conflict. and it doesnt take too long to see it. you can say hamas did this and hamas did that, whcih they have done bad stuff, obviosly. but the oppression and occupation of palestinians has been happening for way longer than hamas even existed. israeli leaders (not spekaing for the people, but the people in power) WANT palestine to be wiped. they have expressed that multiple times. eating starbucks and mcdonalds isnt staying neutral, because you are then contributing towards it. maybe not so much with starbucks as they dont fund it (but clearly showed their stance with the situation), but especially with mcdonalds. showing these companies that you dont support their rhetoric can cause them losses. its not gonna harm you by stopping purchases from those stores. matter of fact, it would actually be more healthier for your body. its not like those are the only foods in the world, go support a local business.
these ARE important issues. this will affect us. this is showing the world that nobody cares when a minority is being occupied. notice the stark difference in reaction with ukraine compared to palestine/congo/etc. minorities will continue to be oppressed if nobody talks about it now.
speaking out about these issues is also important. israel releases lots of propoganda videos. propoganda is expensive. talking about the genocide more, reposting and liking informational posts will get boosted up more, countering the propagranda. the reason why the apertheid in south africa stopped was because propaganda was expensive.
since starbucks is so important to you, remember whenever you say your name for it to be written down in your starbucks order, there are palestinian children who have to write their names on their arms to be identified when they pass away.
