+ With just preorders numbers GIRLS is already selling as much as the best selling 4th gen albums, if it reaches just 1.7m they will outsell everyone

I don't think anyone is selling close to that. No one has sold even 2.5m even with all the gimmicks nowadays like online fansigns, cheaper, individual, 10+ versions.

The only 4 who look like selling 2m+ besides BTS are NCT Dream, Seventeen, NCT 127, Blackpink. Seventeen and NCT Dream's sales have already stagnated because the limit to gimmicks has reached. NCT 127 & Blackpink might do 2.5m but 3m is still quite far away.

I think Seventeen latest album already reached 2.5m based on the circle chart update. It will probably reach a bit more like 2.6-2.7m by the end of the year.

If BP releases individual versions + does fansigns + and later special releases like 17 or twice I think they could reach 3M. The Album did not have all of that and did great enough.

127 also sold 2.4m last year and based on hiatus time and how much dream and nct sales grew, I also think they might surpass 2.5m copies too

Can't wait for GIRLS to break that record

It's kinda unfair, team B has Kyuhyun and luna who are like the best vocalists to come from SM and some of the best in the industry. Taeil is also nct main vocal.

If wjsn came back with save me save you or as you wish and loona with butterfly or why not I think they would have more impact but it seems their labels are sabotaging them giving their most bland songs ever right after queendom

I think it's funny yet sad at the same time how groups like fromis9 or Billie didn't get to appear on queendom but they keep growing much more than the ones in the show

But let's wait for viviz and bg,I think they will show better results since they were charting better before

I think the new song is great so glad they are charting better this time but a top 40 melon hit is not rare for bgs nowadays. I can name at least five who charted higher. Btob, nct dream, seventeen, SHINee, nct 127.

That's why I specifically mentioned their recent releases, some of the groups I mentioned used to have different concepts but their last songs like maverick (tbz), jaws and louder (tan) are basically more 4th gen generic music just like the new enhypen. Maybe you don't see it and it's fine but for me they all sound and look the same, tho some groups like oneus do have superior vocals so that saves them.

When I watch the recent oneus, t1419, tan, tbz, bae173, epex, etc stages on music shows it's the same sound I heard here. I don't know how to explain it with musical terms but everything looks and sounds like it's done following the same idea, very "in your face" and loud, full of bad rapping and few singing, even the mv with the rebellious concept and dark clothes is similar to all other 4th gen bgs I know. Before, their mvs and concepts were more distinctive from the little I remember

I don't know why the company decided to change their concept and style to this more generic 4th gen bg type of music. I wasn't a fan before but I could tell they had a more unique sound with given taken, fever and their pre 2022 songs. Txt was also more unique before but now all I heard and see is the same.

Big label always guaranteed an advantage for kpop groups and i'd argue that being SNSD direct junior group was a big advantage for any SM gg promoting internationally yet only aespa is seeing such success

I don't understand how this works and digital versions have been done by kpop groups before so this isn't news ?
