Lmao. Jungkook's inspiration to become an idol is G.D he has said it more than once. But he chose BigHit when other companies were after him because of RM. It's different things. Lmao. Haven't just Jungkook mentioned G.D in his profile on Apple music? It's even in his on Apple music.

You are the same person who has ranked BH's ngg last. What else do I expect? :pepefeelsweirdestman:

said it multiple times when he was still considered “unknown” to korea.... like i said...

jungkook said his “first and last role model is rm” so that already ruins your little picture

he also said he only became a singer because he wanted to dance. only did auditions because he wanted to dance. he even went to la because he wanted to dance. he was shocked to be the main vocalist after being accepted by bighit because he “had no interest in singing, all [he] wanted to do was dance”. so you’re proven wrong again (by like 8 different quotes)

and lastly he cited “the tv shows are great but concerts are the real reason i’m in bts

    so in conclusion:

jungkook did what all nugu rookies did and praised a senior idol and bts did covers of senior idol songs like shinee, etc.

jungkook was inspired to become a singer because he wanted to dance and had no interest in singing

jungkook chose bighit over many bigger companies because “rm was cool”

jungkook remains inspired and passionate about his job because of the concerts

    [REST]

Lmao. Who reads your long essay. I am tired of yall. I don't know why you gyus are so salty towards BB? It hints that they are still relevant. Don't quote me again. :pepefeelsweirdestman:

did i embarrass you with all my facts, info, and logic? that’s a shame

anyway, jungkook made it super clear that his “first and last role model is rm” and he “had no interest in being a singer” and “had no interest in singing” and he “became a singer to dance” and “all [he] wanted to do was dance” and he was “only interested in dancing”

i could quote the other like 5 times he said it but yeah, we all get the point. nugu rookies play up their love for the seniors who gp likes, then stop once they get a bit bigger. it’s part of the industry. jungkook’s only real inspiration to be a singer/idol was dancing and then later, rm.

G.D has fucking debuted in 1994 at the age of 6. He has debuted before most hip hop acts 1TYM, Jinusean etc. He got his writing credit only at the age of 13. Nope, kpop wasn't experimenting before. It was literally copy paste of western old school hip hop. But G.D has wrote "Haru Haru" which is a dance song with a hip hop ballad, driven by a sentimental piano melody. The song also includes a synthesizer sound that sounds like an orchestra that feels its "empty spaces". The song had huge success. It was wowed by it's experimental and unconventional sound. Even Billboard credited it as "experimental masterpiece". This is a video saying Jungkook has decided to become singer after seeing G.D's Heartbreaker lmao. What are you talking about?

You don't sound convincing enough lmao.

baby you can keep linking that video of a young jungkook or you can see the (at least) 8 times jungkook has said he only auditioned at a singing show, only became an idol because he wanted to dance with NO interest in singing?

you’re probably forgetting that in kpop, idols are supposed to praise their seniors (especially if they’re from a non-big 3 company like bighit used to be when this happened) he hasn’t mentioned them since they got enough public recognition on their own. it was around the same time bts stopped doing covers and other things to link their seniors to themselves (as all rookies do with their seniors at some point).

every nugu rookie has an inspiration that is a big idol. every non big 3 group does covers from the biggest seniors. etc. if you’re really a 2nd gen stan, you know how that works by now.

once the pretense could be dropped, it was. the fact is that jungkook has made BEYOND clear on several occasions that he never was even interested in singing. after he was accepted by bighit was when he realized he even could sing that well and he was shocked to get the main vocal role. that he didn’t care about singing at all and he only wanted to be a dancer.

but of course it’s more fun to ignore the logic and perpetuate your little narrative instead right? too bad no one will ever buy into that bottle of noise lmao

You know G.D was one of the first hip hop acts in Korea? BigBang has changed the whole game. They have deviated from original hip hop roots and went very experimental with their sound. They were the first mainstream idol group. It has proven the whole world that kpop isn't only one sound. Then after that boom so many hip hop influenced kpop groups are born. JK is inspired by lots of people. But he has said himselves G.D is his biggest inspiration and he has wanted to become a singer after seeing him.

this is all so untrue lmao you’ve lost the plot, jinaland.

hiphop was around in korean when gd was still a CHILD. and popular, too. and kpop was already known to have different genres and saw experimentation in music, before bigbang.

and as for your whole “jungkook is a singer because his biggest inspiration was gd” BS lmao jungkook has literally said multiple times that he only became a singer because he wanted to dance. that’s why he auditioned for the show, that’s why he joined bts, that’s why he went to la. his intention was to dance and he didn’t care about singing.

like MANY nugu rookies, he said he was inspired to be a singer by a group that the public liked at the time. 2nd gen groups did it, same with 3rd, and 4th. companies tell them to, and get them to listen to all their music, etc. this is common knowledge.

your attempts are transparent, sad, and not even slightly convincing. just give it up lol

korea still tries to downplay bts. mostly naver (but they have ties to k entertainment through yg so if course they are biased)

my best way to describe it is this:

the country knows bts are our pride. they’re in our national anthem, even. but it’s the media who doesn’t want to acknowledge them. the broadcasts and naver try to hide them, but korean people will always know. bts is our true pride. no one compares to them when it comes to the pride of our home.

I personally think there are no it boys at the same level as it girls right now

jimin is #1 of brand reputation for 25 straight months, koreans are obsessed with him.

jungkook single-handedly made casual hanboks a trend in 2019 and managed to sell out fabric softener within hours of mentioning the name of it. he trends more than any idol ever and is more google searched than any idol ever

for the past several years, the style and trend in america has been increasingly luxurious and polished. focused on name brands, expensive accessories, high fashion, etc.

recently, and for the foreseeable future according to pretty much every western fashion innovator, alternative style is making a comeback. specifically punk. this is largely influenced by the american political state and how youth are rebelling against capitalism.

as luxury styles, polished looks, fine jewelry, etc. are becoming “tacky” to the american youth, and more diy, punk, alternative, home-grown styles are becoming more popular and sought-after.... how will k-companies who are dead-set on us expansion adjust for these changes, especially given how most of them are very focused on that luxurious and polished image?

will they be able to keep with the trends and tone down the expensive and polished concepts, using more relatable and “regular” concepts? or will they fail by continuing to promote groups with rich, polished, luxurious concepts?

just something ive been thinking about for the last 3-4 months or so. for example, i believe sm will have a hard time letting go of these super high fashion, expensive, polished concepts. the american youth won’t be huge on it. apparently it’s supposed to be several years before that overly luxurious style comes back to trend in the us (youth)

    what do you think?

jungkook if we’re talking globally. if there is one global it-boy it’s him

any time the locals discuss kpop they bring out the jungkook memes and he’s always trending, etc. if it’s in korea only, then it’s for sure jimin.

yeonjun is the fourth gen it boy, of course. that’s his official title
