tbh from my vocal technique knowledge and experience, she sounds great. when i asked, people just said “she has no support, she never supports and that makes her very weak” or something but.... i don’t hear what they hear.

i think the biggest problem is most of them parrot what one or two people said to sound like they know vocals very well. she wouldn’t be considered very weak to any vocal coach i know and while support isn’t her strength, it’s not absent like some try to claim. especially if you actually get into their videos.

the secondary problem is that some of the “vocal coaches” of akp seem to think that heathy vocals have one sound. they don’t. you can sound “healthy” and be destroying your voice and vice versa. a lot of people who think the ideal “healthy” voice always comes out sounding like early mariah carey are too narrow-minded. there’s tons of vocal styles which require different techniques and rock vocals can often sound “technically incorrect” while still being very healthy.

for example: someone who is in a metal band will probably do a lot of vocal fry and screaming. they won’t sound “healthy” to these akp vocal “experts” even if they have perfect and healthy vocal technique because they don’t consider those factors.

siyeon has a very healthy and beautiful voice with a nice range. she has strengths and weaknesses but that “siyeon is a very weak vocalist because she has no support” whatever is a crock of bs.

(a lot of that stuff was incorrect but tbh i think the person who made it just had a lot of bias)

“you gonna finna catch me” ruined the whole song, tbh. the rap verse was horrid (and surprisingly so after square 1 and 2 had just such amazing lisa rap verses)

the rest of the song is amazing but sadly you can’t just cut out the rap verse so it drags the rest down a lot

i believe dreamcatcher could. their sales double at every comeback, even for a 4 song mini album. their last album debuted with 24k and has a lifetime sales of 100k+ so far.

their album from today debuted with double the sales 45k and will probably see 200k lifetime sales.

if they continue to grow as rapidly as they are, and all signs point to them growing even faster in the future, they could do it. they have the benefit of a strong fanbase over gp listeners (more boy group like than girl group)

i told all of you! dreamcatcher is rising like crazy. i did the math on their rate of growth before the revamp and so far, my predictions for 2021 are accurate.

their last comeback had a first day sales of 24k and lifetime sales of over 100k.... (even just for a 4 song mini album) their first day sales today doubled at 45k, so 200k for this album is looking likely....

give them some time and they’ll be a force to be reckoned with. i still firmly believe they will become one of the ultimate top girl groups. their sales keep doubling and their potential is currently unmatched.

perfect choreos, perfect discography, perfect rap, perfect vocals, perfect concepts and videos, perfect visuals, perfect everything. and finally their sales and digitals are starting to reflect that

rosé or jisoo. probably rosé since there’s a large enough western focus and rosé handles the questions and english industry conversations the best.
