Before kpop I though Coachella was a bit of trashy festival people went to get high and have orgies in desert
After kpop got involved, its like the arena contenders go to to stake their claims for the throne

If you like to get high yes
The badges will be worth it
It's relevant for musicians because it's the first big festival of the year and kicks off the season basically. It's also announced early in the year so for a lot of people if they're announced to be playing Coachella there's a chance they will be releasing a new album within that year (if they haven't already recently released one) and will play new songs during their stage.
But like all things within our pop culture sphere... things move fast and once the weekends are done most people move on and by next month probably won't even be able to tell you who the headliners who were unless they actually went to the festival or they're already pretty fans of that artist.
Like by last Tuesday the only thing about Coachella most people were talking about was Megan Thee Stallion's new song and the fact that Doja Cat brought back Taco Bell Mexican Pizza. Today I saw a few people talking about Harry Styles and Lizzo's performance on Saturday, but for the most part people are over it.

The only thing I remember from Coachella is that herpes thing, and the video on that ferris wheel or whatever.
I think it was 2019 so before that year I don't even think I knew what coachella was
Also, I wish I didn't know any of those things
Kpop fans entering Twitter these past days:

First part is exactly correct since we have had news of that.
Second part is like Kpop fandoms thinking their faves are better then their faves.
Cochela dis cochela that, fuck me, please just let the word die already
waiting for your fav to enter the arena
