What are the Japanese music groups that have non-Asian members ?

    From the groups I know:

    • Apeace, debuted in 2010 and disbanded in 2021. They had 37 Korean member and disbanded as only 10 member were still in the group. It's unclear if these people are still in Japan or if they left the country since nobody is on social media or just abonded their social media accounts many years ago and the group's TikTok is also pretty dead
    • EXILE TRIBE, their oldest group/unit debuted in 2001 and their newest in 2019. They have 52 members (58 with ex members and the guy who died). 3 member are half African-American, 1 member is half Nigerian (But has the US-citizenship), 2 are half Fillipino, 1 is half Korean, 1 is half Brazilian, 1 is Japanese-Fillipino-American-Hispanic
    • INTERSECTION, debuted in 2018. They have 4 member. 3 are half US-American, 1 is half Irish (But has the Cuban-citizenship)
    • Snow Man, debuted in 2020. They have 9 member. 1 is half Thai, 1 is half Venezuelan
    • FlowBack, debuted in 2013. They have 5 member. 2 are half Fillipino
    • Monkey Majic, debuted in 2000. They have 4 member. 2 are Canadian
    • BananaLemon, debuted in 2018. They have 3 member and 2 former members. 1 member is half African-American and 1 of the former members is half Brazilian
    • SUPER DRAGON, debuted in 2015. They have 9 member. 1 is half Turkish
    • BUZZ-ER., debuted in 2017. They have 7 member. 1 is Vietnamese, 1 is half Pakistani
    • INI, debuted in 2021. They have 11 member. 1 is Chinese

    The original post asked for Japanese groups with non-asian (or half-asian) members.


    A lot of these seem to include only Japanese, Chinese, Korean, etc members, so they wouldn't apply?


    I'm going to appear very ignorant, but even Filipina, Thai, Indonesian, Vietnamese, and the other South-East Asia countries are still considered Asian right?

    The OP said that half-Asian worked. Nina is half-American, so that would make NiziU a Japanese group with a half-Asian member, right?


    Unless the OP means that the entire group is non or half Asian, then yeah, that will probably be impossible to find.

    Southeast Asia is part of Asia so yes, Southeast Asians are Asians.

    Geography and how it relates to cultural identity is not my area of expertise. So I guess I've never sat down and thought about it before.

    All of the territories of Laos are in Mainland Asia and nearly all of the Cambodian territories are in Mainland Asia which is why it seems bizarre for me that you asked this question.

    Everything southeast of India confuses my brain. Because India is in Asia, but I wouldn't call people from India as Asian.


    Maybe I'm wrong about that too.


    But I've honestly never been good at geography. For example, for the longest times I was convinced that Mexico was part of South America, and I live about 200 miles from Mexico.


    So I figure it's always better to ask and be sure that way, than to work from a position of ignorance.


    But why wouldn't you call people from India as Asian while India is part of Asia ?


    Russians are Europeans. Jews and Indians are Asians.


    Why did you ask the question "Would you consider people from Russia as Asian?" ?
