Songs aren't likeable at all. Okay, I understand there are different tastes but so much hype for that?
The girls aren't good performers
They are good vocalists but since we rarely see them sing live there's nothing to hype too

There's nothing that stands out and them. they're not great singers or dancers, their songs aren't anything special (half their songs are empty choruses), their solo music sucks, hardly on TV etc. They're barely idols, more closer to insta models.
they are charismatic and have great idol rappers.

There's nothing that stands out and them. they're not great singers or dancers, their songs aren't anything special (half their songs are empty choruses), their solo music sucks, hardly on TV etc. They're barely idols, more closer to insta models.
Clearly there is something that stands out when they are this big with barely any promo.
Good catchy songs, good stage presence, distinct vocals (they sing a lot more artistically than other groups) . All members have an it factor. They are memorable too.

their music might be okay/good, but they are so incredibly bland? everytime i want to get into them, it feels like i'm eating unseasoned chicken. don't expect them to be some corny crackheads, but just a little bit of personality? also, can't get over the fact yj truly accepted that it boy title.. that's confidence for someone pulling very average numbers (on his solo performances, brand rankings,..).

They are the best visual group of their generation (tied with TWICE) and have a small number of members - all with distinctive aesthetics which makes it easier for them to be digestible to western audiences.

Jisoo has the attitude; you see it on her VLives. Look, BlackPink didn't ask to be popular; people flock to them for a reason. Just because you're blinded by your rose-colored anti glasses doesn't mean everyone else is. Even non-fans admit that BP is that group. All four of them may differ in popularity levels but they work as a group; remove one and you don't have BP. Miyeon got kicked out for having a boyfriend LOL but she has her second chance now, and she's still not as charismatic as Jisoo's tiniest toe.

blackpink songs are the only group's songs that cannot be covered. every single cover is either trash or just acceptable. do you know why? its because of the girls. theyre the only ones who can pull them off. so many talented individuals/groups have tried and failed.
