You just need to listen to nmixx or purple kiss recent song to see the SM/aespa influence lol the fact mbc will debut a girlgroup from survival show adding virtual members and there's companies releasing news about debuting AIs as idols..

Companies also using the nct system concept in some kind of way, making groups for each region and such

And there are plenty more examples that aren't as in-your-face and could generate debate, but it's kinda obvious why the company with some of the best charting and selling acts in kpop will be copied/followed by others. This year and the past SM was the company with the most acts charting in korea and you wonder why wouldn't other be influenced by them? lol
almost none of these things were started by sm tho? idk about aespa starting the current music trend because aespa was obviously sm's direct response to bp. so rlly the trend could be credited to black pink. "AI idols" as a concept was literally snatched from vocaloids. also im not sure how having singular examples of random stuff sm did (and didn't even really pioneer) means they're influential. one random nugu company trying to do something outlandish for attention is not the same as the whole industry changing because of you. the entire scape of idols on social media and having homemade, company produced youtube contents is 100% because of bh/hybe and bts. thats the scale im talking about. and again, last time sm did something like that was early 2000s.
just my opinion tho.. and sorry to say you didnt change it

No way blackpink sound is similar to aespa or nmixx... And why didn't other companies start the virtual idols before aespa debuted if vocaloids were a thing back then? Wonder why it changed since next level hit big...
And just like you can point out certaing things existing before SM did, I can also note how 2nd gen idols had their own YouTube content made by their companies. 2ne1 TV, real 2pm, real jj project, real wg, apink diary.. I watched all of these before BTS debuted lol
Seems like your opinion is very different from mine so I won't try changing it.

i wasn't just talking about what are essentially short form shows. bts' youtube content was constant behind the scenes clips, and personal vlogs from the members. idols never used to be allowed to just turn on the camera back then unless it was something more scripted.
just wanted to clarify that. but agree to disagree

I mean the "real" series from jyp were that, real behind the scenes clips from their idols, sometimes they filmed music shows backstage, concerts backstage, short vlogs of them in the different countries they visited, birthday celebrations, room/hotel tours, even interactions with the opposite sex: wg joking around with 2pm and 2am, JJ project and their sunbaes, etc
