An easy thread to find SM Station tracks, including NCT Lab content.

Most member solos are released under the SM Station banner, as well as duets and special projects.

SM Station is a digital music project under SM Entertainment that involves solos or duets from members in existing SM groups, as well as opportunities for singers to experiment in other genres or collaborate with artists inside and outside of SM Entertainment. The project releases a number of singles digitally each year on digital platforms, including streaming audio like Spotify.

CHARTS

Station songs are not promoted on music shows or usually beyond release on digital platforms and corresponding digital content. Some Station songs have also had live radio show performances.

Beginning in 2022, NCT's Station songs were usually accompanied by a special performance on the music performance show, Music Space, on the NCT YouTube channel.

Mark is the highest performer on the Gaon charts, Ten is on the U.S. Billboard world song charts.

NCT 127 x Coca-Cola - "Taste The Feeling"

Promotional single tied into global Coke campaign for the Euro 2016 and Rio Summer Olympic Games.

The group had only made its debut two weeks earlier. Johnny, Doyoung and Jungwoo do not appear here, as they are not yet a part of the group at the time of this release. Winwin does appear.

This is the first NCT-related single and the 25th single of the 52-song SM Station season.

It is not available on Spotify. The song also appears as a theme song in seasons of NCT's variety series, NCT Life.

Description:

This is a very bright and cheery pop song written and produced by DJ and producer Avicii.

Yoon Do Hyun x Reddy x G2 x INLAYER x Johnny - "Nightmare"

Yoon Do Hyun is the lead vocalist and founder from the hard rock band YB. Reddy and G2 are rappers. Korean progressive metal band INLAYER is a Korean progressive metal band. Johnny was still in SM Rookies at the time and had not yet debuted in NCT.

This was the 38th single of the 52-song SM Station season.

Description:

This is a very aughts-style nu-metal song. Johnny has a very small role/part here.

SMTOWN x Steve Barakatt - "Sound of Your Heart " (너의 목소리)

Released December 30, 2016 / Members: Taeil, Doyoung

SMTOWN promotional holiday song for UNICEF, featuring Canadian pianist Steve Barakatt and many SM artists: jazz vocalist Lee Dong Woo; Yesung, one of the main vocalists in Super Junior: Girls' Generation lead vocalist Sunny; f(x) main vocalist Luna; Red Velvet main vocalist Wendy and lead vocalist Seulgi; and NCT main vocalists Taeil and Doyoung.

Proceeds of the song benefited SM Entertainment's campaign with UNICEF, which raised money to fund music education for children in Vietnam.

This was the 47th single of the 52-song SM Station season.

Description:

This is a strings-driven, OST-style power ballad.

Ten - 夢中夢 (몽중몽; Dream In A Dream)

Released April 7, 2017/ Member: Ten

Although Ten featured in NCT's debut track, he was not included in the line-ups for NCT 127

and Dream, which debuted in 2016. During this time period, he became the first NCT

member to feature on an Station track outside of the group. He remained the only member to

have a solo single until Mark's "Child" in 2022, and he still has the most solo Station singles.

Ten appears on 2 songs in this season of SM Station. He did not have a fixed unit at the

time of this song, although he continued to appear in the rotational sub-unit NCT U

until he debuted in his permanent unit, WayV, in 2019.

Of the 9 NCT main vocalists, only 3 have featured on their own dedicated SM Station songs:

Ten of WayV and Doyoung and Jaehyun of NCT 127.

This song was also included later in the NCT 2018 Empathy all-unit album.

Although Ten has the most Station solo songs, NCT's leader Taeyong has the most member-specific

songs, including duets and solos. His first song paired his drawling rap with the distinctive, quirky

EDM style of DJ, songwriter and producer Hitchhiker, who was with SM Entertainment

at the time. Taeyong has 2 songs in this SM Station season.

Of the 12 rappers in NCT, only four have featured on their own

dedicated SM Station songs: Taeyong, Johnny, Mark and Lucas.

Only Taeyong and Mark have more than one song.

Taeyong co-wrote the lyrics on the song, as he does on most of his raps.

It was released a month after the NCT 127 Cherry Bomb EP.

Description:

This is an energetic EDM track with Hitchhiker's distinctive chaotic sound

partnered with Taeyong's more straight-forward style of rapping

(compared to his stylized vocal fry style).

Xiumin X Mark - "Young & Free"

Xiumin is a lead dancer and sub-vocalist in EXO. Although this is Mark's first Station, it is not

his first work outside NCT. He had previously appeared with Red Velvet's Seulgi on a track "Drop"

during his time on MNET's High School Rapper series earlier in the year. Mark appears on two songs

in this season of SM Station.

Of the 12 rappers in NCT, only four have featured on their own

dedicated SM Station songs: Taeyong, Johnny, Mark and Lucas.

Only Taeyong and Mark have more than one song.

Mark co-wrote the lyrics on the song, as he does on most of his raps.

Description:

This is a light and summery pop song punctuated by Mark's rap. It feels very similar

in vibe to early 127 songs like "Paradise" or "Switch."

Henry X Mark - "Lemonade Love"

Ballad singer Parc Jae Jung appeared with Mark in the music variety show

"Snowball Project." The two first performed the song at the annual

SMTOWN Live concert in Seoul.

dedicated SM Station songs: Taeyong, Johnny, Mark and Lucas.

Only Taeyong and Mark have more than one song.

Mark co-wrote the lyrics on the song, as he does on most of his raps.

Super Junior's Henry also co-wrote and produced the song.

It was the 17th song of the 52-song SM Station season.

Description:

This is a light, jazz-inflected pop song. It feels very very similar

in vibe to NCT U's "Dancing in the Rain."

Yoo Young-jin x Taeyong - "Cure"

Released May 12, 2017/ Member: Taeyong

SM's legendary "Father", songwriter, producer and vocal trainer Yoo Young-jin provides his powerful vocals to this duet with Taeyong. This is one of only two songs he sings on and the last in SM Station. He previously partnered with EXO's D.O. on "Tell Me (What Is Love)" in the first SM Station season.

This is Taeyong's last Station song where he only provides rap lines. In later songs, he also sings.

Taeyong co-wrote the lyrics on the song, as he does on most of his raps.

Yoo Young-jin co-wrote, composed and arranged this song.

Doyoung partnered with main vocalist Sejeong from the girl group gugudan for this song.

It was the 28th song of the 52-song SM Station season.

Although he has done numerous OSTs, it is Doyoung's most streamed solo work on Spotify.

Description:

This is a very delicate OST-style mid-tempo ballad (like a waltz) with jazzy piano flourishes.

Jaehyun partnered with singer-songwriter d.ear for this song. d.ear also wrote the song.

It was the 34th song of the 52-song SM Station season.

This is Jaehyun's only song outside of NCT 127 or NCT U work. It gained new life when it went

viral on TikTok in 2022 and became the most streamed NCT solo/duet work on Spotify.

Description:

This is a delicate and warm acoustic ballad with soft piano.

NCT Dream - "Joy"

Released December 15, 2017/ Member: Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Chenle, Jisung

NCT Dream is the only sub-unit to release holiday singles.

At the time, it was designed as a teenage boy group, with members graduating from the group once they reached adulthood (20 in Korean, 19 international age.)

The festive holiday song was described as a "more mature form" for the teenage group with a "bright and cheerful atmosphere." It is a reinterpretation of "Joy to the World," and several other Christmas songs.

Member Jaemin was on a medical hiatus and did not participate.

Member Mark co-wrote his raps, as he has for over 50 NCT songs.

Description:

This is a mash-up of multiple traditional holiday songs including "Joy to the World" in the

youthful, bright NCT Dream style with R&B style ad libs and runs.

SMTOWN - "Dear, My Family"

Released December 29, 2017/ Member: Jaehyun

The song featured in the annual SMTOWN concert and tour and was released to pay tribute to the late Jonghyun, who appears on the song. First, second and third-generation Kpop artists from SM appear on the single, including Jonghyun, which includes a studio version of the song and a live version from SMTOWN Live V in Tokyo.

Other artists on the song include: Kangta of H.O.T., Yesung and Kyuhyun of Super Junior, BoA, Taeyeon and Luna of Girls' Generation, Baekhyun, Chen and D.O. of EXO, Wendy from Red Velvet and Jaehyun from NCT.

All proceeds from the single were donated to UNICEF.

This song was the 38th single of this 52-song SM Station season.

Description:

This is a very old-fashioned power ballad with lots of vocal firepower.

Jaehyun comes in at 2:47, singing with Chen - you'll recognize his voice.

Their voices sound lovely together, but in the video it feels

spiteful to make him wear his Fire Truck era look here tho.

NCT U - "Timeless (텐데...) "

Released January 12, 2018 / Members: Taeil, Doyoung, Jaehyun

The NCT U sub-unit is a special promotional unit made up of rotational members.

Members are chosen to perform based on the song and concept. As this concept was a vocally driven ballad,

the unit includes the three main vocalists in NCT 127: Taeil, Doyoung and Jaehyun.

Jaehyun and Doyoung also featured in separate songs in this season.

The song was also performed by these three members in their pre-debut days as part of the SM Rookies group (video is in the spoiler.)

The song was also re-released on the NCT all-unit project and album, NCT 2018 Empathy.

This song was the 40th single of this 52-song SM Station season.

Description:

This is a R&B style piano ballad that is driven by emotional vocals.

[season 2]

Ten - "New Heroes"

Released April 6, 2018 / Member: Ten

Ten was the first member of NCT to feature on a Station track outside of a group until Mark's "Child" in February 2022.

He made his debut in the first NCT sub-unit in 2016, but did not have a permanent unit at the time of this song.

The song is entirely in English, like all of Ten's solo songs.

This song was the final single of this 52-song SM Station season.

Description:

This is a R&B style piano ballad that is driven by emotional vocals.

Jonah Nilsson x Lucas (feat. Richard Bono) - "Coffee Break"

Released November 29, 2018 / Member: Lucas

NCT kicked off the first singles of Season 3.

Jonah Nilsson is a member of the Swedish group Dirty Loops, which plays a hybrid of jazz, bass fusion, funk and pop. Richard Bona is an award-winning Cameroon-born American bass player. Lucas had made his debut in NCT as part of the NCT 2018 Empathy project and album but was not in WayV yet.

Frequent NCT collaborator and R&B artist Deez is a co-writer on this track.

This song was the 1st single of this 16-song SM Station season.

Description:

SM called it "jazz punk genre", but it's actually the sort of fun brass-heavy song

you think of when you think 70s funk or early Michael Jackson.

Dreamworks Trolls x SM Station

Yeri, NCT - "Hair in the Air"

NCT - "Best Day Ever"

Released November 29, 2018 / Member: Jaemin, Jeno, Renjun, Haechan, Chenle, Jisung

NCT kicked off the first singles of Season 3.

Although they are listed as "NCT" here, this is only NCT Dream. Teenage members of SM groups participated on two singles for the OST of DreamWorks Animation "Trolls", including Red Velvet's Yeri and NCT Dream's Jaemin, Jeno, Renjun, Chenle and Jisung.

The songs were opening and closing songs of the movie's Korean version, including the lead single "Hair in the Air" 예리X런쥔X제노X재민 and the b-side "Best Day Ever."

The songs were also released as the second release of this 16-song SM Station season.

Description:

"Hair in the Air" is very perky pop, well suited to a kids' movie. "Best Day Ever" is equally bouncy with bright horns (imagine an animated character walking through his neighborhood to start the day.)

[season 3]

NCT Dream - "Candle Light"

Released December 27, 2018 / Member: Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle and Jisung

NCT kicked off the first singles of Season 3.

NCT Dream is the only sub-unit to release holiday singles and this is their last one.

At the time, it was designed as a teenage boy group, with members graduating from the group once they reached adulthood (20 in Korean, 19 international age.) This holiday single was the last single to feature Mark, as he was graduating from the group due to his age. He would rejoin the group in late 2020 after the graduation concept was dropped.

This song was the 3rd single of this 16-song SM Station season.

Description:

This is a soft, mid-tempo pop song with R&B accents. It feels very mid-tempo 90s R&B song, complete with synths and drum machine. This is very similar to "7 Days."
