  • He realized his company stans are lacking so hard compare to competition

decided to give them some juice

  • I guess it's about time some change happens in how YGE make their content because they have all these great artists and groups yet they never make many collab vids or interactions, and I guess they just decide that they can't make YG groups distant from each other anymore, it doesn't look good for the company. It's a great thing to do content like these again.

  • Well the YG Family episode is about to become the most viewed episode on the 채널 십오야 channel where other labels have also appeared with Na Pd and it trended in Korea. So it seems people were really happy to see it. Plus they all have obviously known each other a long time and and have good relationships and fans liked to see it given its popularity. Mino in particular has been a fixture on TV in Korea for the last several years on a lot of shows.l which is why Na PD works with him a lot.

YG was sort of the first one to do the whole label family synergy thing a long time ago.

The fans and people in Korea obviously liked seeing it. I don't think they give much thought on what hardcore Kpoppies think.

  • maybe the finally realized that was part of the brand that made them successful to begin with. The YG Fam angle. They had YG tv, YG fam concerts. Their idols weren't afraid to interact amd chill together at award shows in the studio , post for the gram they also did collabs etc. This all contributed to the YG "cool kids" reputation they got. Then they cut it off like idiots thus killing off a part of their brand, segregated their YG stans and even made it difficult for their artists to collab and do cameos it . Somebody finally came to their senses I hope...

they probably finally saw blinks making wars with all their boy groups and realize that it’s not a good thing.

  • this feels like a bandaid to me.

hate to YG(company) is not as volatile so it won't harm them as much but the tenacity of the criticisms towards YG is probably finally deemed a little too much so they try to push something as they make a proper response.

This also seems a bit like Cross-promotion: have one fandom interact with another fandom and hopefully have more fans stanning both groups, an increase in sales for their existing customer base.

overall this seems like a move that takes effort to set up for things to work as intended and it seems like they probably wanted to use this as a stepping stone.

*disclaimer: this is my very uneducated guess; i dunno how companies, much less how kpop companies work.

Yup. Just look at how the Lisa Kingdom cameo went. Mess. And if they had done collabs before had or if they had showed that same "YG fam " they had with 2ne1 n BB that would have been received much better. They did it to themselves for w.e reason
