now that I think about it I should add more to this as well

how to look for signs of a messy disbandment

>check if the group as a whole came back in Korea at least once a year for every single year before their disbandment (just look at how this wasn't the case with a number of disbanded groups - YG with 2NE1, JYP with Miss A and Wonder Girls, DSP with Rainbow and April... - I mean I could go on and on but these are a few examples )

>check if the group's disbandment was blamed upon a single member (look at Addiction Ent's disbandment statement for Yellow Bee for a prime example of this )

>check if there were legal issues between the group and their company before the former disbanded (I'm looking at DSP over April, TS over Secret and BAP, and so on )
