Eh, to be fair, it's not like that fact made Weki Meki, Pristin, Gugudan, or WJSN's debuts super strong by default.
Or even the solo debuts of Hye-won, Ye-na, Eunbi, or Yuri... Yuri sold the best out of them, but is still about only one third of IVE's and Yena charted the best, but hasn't broken top 20 yet on Korean Hot 100, whereas IVE is at #2.
Though after I typed all that out, it's interesting how much IZ*ONE has largely turned toward solo debuts rather than groups.
i think they learned after pristin, dia, etc flopped pretty hard. it's better to have a lot of soloists than try to smash an izone member into a group of 12 other people nobody knows

Yena actually just peaked at top 10 on the Top 100.
I don't know enough of 2nd gen to say. But within 3rd and 4th gen, I'd say hell yes. And deserved. 
It's why I linked to a specific chart; it's hard to compare apples to apples across different charts.
But I'm glad she's doing even better on a different chart! Smiley is a great song/mini.
Oh, are you talking about the Billboard chart? I thought you were talking about the Melon Top 100 and calling it something different. My bad.
