    Since the group will make their debut soon, it's time to talk about them...



    What concept do you expect?


    Many rumors say they will start with Badass concept, because Badass is a trend and YG know how to handle the concept

    Idn how 2ne1 started but thinking about BP, they start with Teen crush concept , badass is just when they become a mature group

    it's hard to predict their concept by looking at only 2 groups , when we think they never tried any other concept :/

    And on the other hand ,what I learned with YG is "never believe rumors"


    For me, I will appreciate if they start with Red velvet concept but with YG style , it would be freaking Cool men :love:

    Idk if they are 4, 5 or even 7 they said Vocal Group so my imagination is already on that

    So I want YGngg to have kind of... a rock concept ? Something like Winner's concept when they just debuted (even through it will fall into the category of girl crush).


    2 groups can be girl crush but still be so different from each other.


    All I know is I don't want Teddy as a producer, his sound is so teddyish and I want YGngg to sound different from blackpink.

    I'm guessing from other NGGs that have debuted/going to debut that Baemon will probably have some cute young concept with more focus on the vocals. The members (from sources that I read like members that stay or coming back to YG from now) are probably Noh Hyerin, Kang Seojin, Yang Chae Eun, Han Byul.

    Unpopular opinion but I kinda want a cute concept.


    1.) I don't want another group competing with BP, we already barely get any music, I wouldn't want to stretch resources thinner.


    2.) YG never really done cute GG and I would love to see their take on it


    3.) Kpop is very cyclical and YG is good and going against the trend. Back around 2015, cute concept was the trend, we gor Groups like Twice, Gfriend, OH My Girl, etc debuting everywhere, BP was refreshing and a change in sound for the industry.


    Now with the absence of major cute groups, most cute 3rd gen groups are disbanding, Twice mature, etc there's a void to be filled.


    One could also argue with the westernization of kpop, it is not smart to do cute ever again. But at the same time, companies who do well are those that did not do the predictable, perhaps where is room in the west for cure, Twice might be proving that kpop fans simply don't know what the west like, just look at The Feels. I haven't listened to western music I'm awhile but I remember songs like Carly Rae Jepsons - Call Me Maybe did pretty well?


    I'm really ranting now but I just want to see more songs with happy catchy music that bubble gum pop is known for.

    The thijg with YG is, they can do music well, im sure YGs style of cute would not just be the typical cute youd expect. They suck at managing group and just about everything else but few would deny that they can do music damn well, Im confident their take on cute, if they were to attempt it, would be quite original.


    Just songs like As If It's Your last, while BP is known for their more westernized sound, AIIYL is still Blinks favorite BP song (based on all the numerous "favorite BP tracks" polls being made here on AKP.


    Imagine a group that always released songs that is like AIIYL...
