Funny, they pulled a 21 Jump Street, only backwards.
21 Jump Street was a serious police crime series turned into comedy buddy movies, and now they turn a humorous sitcom into some kind of profound drama about second chances and whatnot. I don't really see the point honestly, it's the Fresh Prince of Bel Air by name only. If you want to do something different, which is totally legitimate, just brand it like something new rather than selling your unrelated product on another show's merits.
Nah… I’m not feeling it. If it was a show inspired by Fresh Price but an original story I would feel this… but this should be a remake and it looks to dramatic and serious compared to the comedy we got from the original. The original was good in combining comedy with serious topics. I don’t get why why they throw this away for a remake btw nobody asked for ….
