"They don't have time to date"

  • Well... on Twitter, I saw someone say about one of my favourite groups that the members don't have time to date.

It was kind of related to a silly dating rumour. (or that rumour is from a very unreliable source, that seems more like just some person spreading random misinformation.)

But do you think that some kpop artists "don't have time" to date someone?

Talking more about the "busy" kpop groups.

I am aware about kpop artists who have dated and are also currently dating.

So I'm not being like "kpop artists don't date, because they don't have time for that kind of stuff."

BTW if that member was actually dating someone, I wouldn't mind.

  • I think it depends on the company and what the people do in their free-time

IDK how it goes for KPop-groups but from a Japanese group I know that they sometimes work 6 days a week from 9am to 11pm so there is not much free time and I bet a lot Korean groups do the same. I remember in a video some years ago an ex. KPop-idol said he was literally only sleeping for 5 hours a day cause he had only 6 free hours a day in total. Thinking of some of my fave groups, they have a lot more free-time wich allows some of them to do a lot on social media and some have even enough time to say they met their friends, but some groups really overwork their people till they want to quit

  • Being a whole ass relationship and what it entails? I absolutely think some of them are too busy. Groups that are having 3-4 comebacks a year in multiple countries have to be putting in long hours. It's hard to be emotionally available to someone when your career is your first priority. It can be extremely difficult to find a person emotionally stable enough to know that they are going to come second. it's tough.

Just generally dating/seeing someone? Absolutely they have time. I'm willing to bet most idols have someone they're either casually dating or just as a dedicated intimacy friend.

  • They date but not like non-celebs would date. They would only meet up when either schedules are colliding or off schedule which means mostly dates in cars or at night. I think that dating an active idol one year is similar to dating someone a few months since one could only meet that idol under special conditions and time slots. + hiding from

fans and people in public places is hard af in Korea. That’s why I think a lot of idol x idol (both fully active) don’t work out that well.

  • There are idols who don't have time to date, who'd love to date, who are already dating, who might not be interested in dating, etc...

Just like us nugus, idols come in all shapes and sizes.

  • Depends on the person, really, some people are just more into relationships and the whole "making it work" others just consider them a burden when they don't have time/money and prefer to rely on friends with benefits
