We've spent 30 days reviewing awesome NCT choreography and there is still some great choreo I never made it to (I'm looking at you, Highway to Heaven). You've seen a variety of styles and performances from the different units. So I thought it would be fitting to close out our 30 days looking back to the early days of these dynamic dancers.
If you didn't know, SM had a pre-debut group called SM Rookies that would appear in performances, TV shows, concerts and social media content. Members of SM Rookies ended up in Red Velvet, NCT and aespa although not all SM Rookies ended up debuting. Of the 23 members in NCT, only 4 did not come through the Rookies program (Chenle, Renjun, Sungchan and Shotaro), but not all of the members participated in the early concerts and TV shows. Many of the WayV members joined Rookies towards the end of the program.
The Rookies live performances feature all of the members in NCT Dream (except the two I noted) and NCT 127 (except Jungwoo, who came later), as well as Ten and sometimes Kun (he came in a little later than the others.)
This adorable performance has: Hansol (the only male SM rookie to not debut), Taeil, Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Doyoung, Ten, Jaehyun, Mark, Jaemin, Jeno, Haechan, Jisung.
The youngest member here is Jisung, who is just 13. The oldest member is Taeil, who is 21.
The birthday cake that comes out in this clip is Jaehyun celebrating his 18th birthday on stage.
Less uwu is the SR15B group, which shows off predebut dance from Hansol, Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Ten and Jaehyun. This was choreographed by S**t Kingz, who were the first choreographers we saw on the first day of our Choreo Chat and behind the first NCT choreo, the 7th Sense.
