as for this years award shows we can clearly say that both MMA and MAMA have weakest lineups in recent years
Ehhh again... official MAMA line up has 12 male artists and just 3 girl groups

Honestly with the news of Oh My Girl coming back soon (seems to be early-January!!!) and the girls establishing more a healthy work-life balance sentiment it makes sense why they wouldn't want to prepare for so many different performances when gearing up for a comeback. I def remember Jiho stating their fav time was when they're not coming back lol
Ig for the end year festivals they are more important for visibility leading up to a comeback, and they seem to be a necessity for most well-known groups. -

That's definitely an interesting lineup. There's aespa, NCT, and Lapone's artists so I'm fine either way lmao.

People have been complaining about MAMA being a sausage fest since I got into Kpop back in 2014. The more interesting trend to me is the lack of 3rd gens on this year’s awards shows aside from NCT. To play devil’s advocate tho, fans complain all year about their faves not getting rest, then complain when they’re not on things. (I’m guilty of this myself..)
