Classic rock is the best type of music imo and most of the 80's had some iconic rock songs from iconic groups including Van Halen, ACDC, INXS, Bryan Adams. It's more than just pop music.

I didn't say there was anything wrong with pop music, it's just not the only genre, maybe you need to listen to more than just pop music.

The 60s, 70s and 80s were fantastic years and very productive on the musical side there was a concentration of extraordinary artists that we have never seen again and these years were dominated by the Rock genre musically. That's why it is still considered today as the top musical genre.
