Book Recommendation ?

  • Kenneth Follet's Pillars of the earth series!!!!!

It's completely absorbing! I loved learning all about medieval England through the story. It's a fiction novel!!!

Edited once, last by ultraaviolet ().

  • And then there was none - 10 strangers are reunited in a mansion in an isolated island, one by one end up dead and no one knows who the killer is. You will be so curious to find whats going on that you will read everything in a day.

Song of achilles - a love story between patroclus and achilles. Its really, really beautiful. I read everything in one sitting too.

Castle of otranto - super entertaining medieval book. The father of every medieval cliche. Its like a fun movie.

Perfume - probably the best book i ever read, and ive read a lot.

100 years of solitude - its really fun, basically a trajectory of a family living in a small town. Idk how to describe it there's a lot of nonsense but its exactly why the book works. The so called realismo magico.

Regardless of the type of books you like, this is guaranteed high quality literature

Edited 2 times, last by catzi ().

You probably already know perfume because of the tv show and the movie BUT trust me nothing will ever beat reading the book. Its an unique experience. Even if you watched the movie, the book itself is an experience worth having. I watched the movie first and still wasnt ready for the book. It blew me away. Its extremely well written.

If you've read Song of Achilles, you should try Circe!

Some of my favourites that I like to recommend:

    - The Distant Hours by Kate Morton (historical fiction/mystery)

    - Practical Magic and the whole PM series by Alice Hoffman (there are 4 books in total) (I'd actually recommend any of her books - she's one of my favourite authors)

    - 84, Charing Cross Road by Helene Hanff - a charming non-fiction, perfect for book lovers

    - Marina by Carlos Ruiz Zafon (or any of his books, really!) - a gothic mystery

    - Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson - if you enjoy YA fantasy

    - Daughter of the Forest by Juliet Marillier - historical fiction/irish mythology

    - and Rooftoppers by Katherine Rundell if you like middle grade too

I hope that you'l find some good books on discount! :-)
