Lol, basically sometimes when groups have later releases or diffrent versions Gaon counts them separate for example cassettes and vinyls are counted separate and so are Kit/Kino versions and Gaon count them as different releases.

So if Gaon were to count the sales of the original versions and now the special editions in that way even tho they would still have 487k, eventually 500+k, shipments they wouldn't be certified as a double platinum seller until either the original or special versions hit 500k alone.

It's a stupid system if you ask me, but I'm glad Itzy all count as the same thing like Stray Kids did. Now hopefully by the end of the year they will become just the 4th girl group ever to get an X2 platinum certification.

Botter, It's cause the SE is the same CD format as the standard version, so they don't separate like vinyl/kihno etc
